Turns out even Kansas City Chiefs teammates of Travis Kelce’s are just as excited as the rest of us at the prospect of meeting Taylor Swift, as Xavier Worthy has gone viral for being nearby the pop star.
Swift was at Arrowhead Stadium for the Chiefs’ AFC Championship victory over the Buffalo Bills on Saturday, her ninth game in Kansas City this season.
Worthy is a Chiefs’ rookie and has quickly established himself as Patrick Mahomes favorite target outside of Kelce himself.
Kelce and Swift have been dating publicly since September 2023, with Worthy only joining the team last April. It’s possible the opportunity to meet the ‘Anti-Hero’ singer had not presented itself until Sunday night.
‘Taller than me,’ Worthy said, standing five feet from Swift.
Worthy is listed at 5-foot-11, with Kelce no-doubt taller than Swift at 6-foot-5. It appears Swift is somewhere in the middle of those two.

How meeting Swift went for Worthy beyond the video is unclear. If past interactions were to continue, the 14-time Grammy winner has been friendly to her boyfriend’s teammates.

After catching the Super Bowl-winning pᴀss last year, Swift gave Mecole Hardman a huge hug on the field.
Worthy finished the win over the Bills with six receptions for 85 yards and a touchdown that helped the Chiefs reach the Super Bowl in his rookie season.
Now Worthy will go to his first Super Bowl against the Eagles in two weeks while a few of his teammates will be participating in their fifth NFL Championship contest.
It is expected that Swift will attend her first game of the season outside of Arrowhead Stadium for the Super Bowl.
She has not gone to one of Kelce’s games outside of Missouri since last season’s Super Bowl at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.
