Chiefs star Drue Tranquill fires back at Dave Portnoy after Barstool boss lost $1m bet on ‘rigged’ Bills game

Chiefs star Drue Tranquill fires back at Dave Portnoy after Barstool boss lost $1m bet on 'rigged' Bills game

Chiefs star Drue Tranquill taunted Dave Portnoy after the Barstool Sports founder lost $1million on Kansas City’s victory over the Buffalo Bills – and then claimed the game was ‘rigged’.

Andy Reid’s team reached a fifth Super Bowl in six seasons with a dramatic 32-29 win on Sunday night.

Portnoy wagered $1m on the Bills to lift the Vince Lombardi Trophy, using money he claims to have made by investing in Donald Trump’s new meme-coin.

Towards the end of Sunday’s AFC Championship game, the 47-year-old was left seething when Buffalo was controversially ruled to have missed out on a crucial first down.

Portnoy accused NFL referees of ‘cheating’ to help Kansas City, sharing a pH๏τo of the moment alongside the caption: ‘Insane. #nflrigged’.

The Barstool boss reiterated his claims on social media, prompting a response from Chiefs linebacker Tranquill.

‘Should have taken your $1M from #TrumpCoin and taken a nice vacation,’ he wrote on social media. Tranquill then gave his verdict on the ruling to deny Josh Allen a first down.

‘He didn’t get it & you know it,’ the linebacker added.

Allen was unable to inspire the Bills to their first Super Bowl appearance since 1994 as the Bills were edged out at Arrowhead Stadium.

As well as taking aim at the officials, Portnoy hit out at Bills head coach Sean McDermott for running a tush push ‘without the push’ in the first place.

‘Guts ripped out, I feel for all of Buffalo,’ he said. ‘Let me tell you something: the refs should be in f***ing prison. Refs should be in prison, that fourth-down spot changed the whole game.

‘McDermott should be in prison, the Bills coach. That tush push that they run, that they kept running that doesn’t work… yeah the refs f***ed you, [but] do they not know what a tush push is? You put two f***ing huge guys in and you push! They don’t do that.

He added: ‘Yeah the refs f***ed you, yeah the tush push [was] absolutely the dumbest. I can’t get over doing a tush push without the push.’
