Hard to fully appreciate Chiefs’ greatness when every questionable call goes their way

The pity is, at this point, the greatness we are watching in real time is threatened every week to be reduced to a footnote. We are witnesses to history, to the rarest form of extended success in a time of professional sport that’s supposed to be ruled by parity. But every year we have to deal with something else first.

We hold these two truths to be self-evident:

1. The Chiefs keep winning at a pace that’s been nearly unequaled in the 105-year history of the NFL.

2. They keep getting the benefit of the doubt on crucial calls every week, toss-up whistles that always seem to be judged in favor of #ChiefsKingdom.
