Buffalo Bills player Christian Benford has been ruled out of their game against the Kansas City Chiefs after he suffered a sickening blow to the head early on.

Benford felt the full force of a head-to-head collision with teammate Damar Hamlin during the first quarter of the game. 

It was a worrying development, given the cornerback had only cleared concussion protocol hours before kickoff at Arrowhead Stadium on Sunday.

Benford was questionable with a concussion all week after getting injured on the onside kick late in the Bills’ win over the Ravens in the divisional round.
