Travis Kelce’s ex-girlfriend Kayla Nicole joked she “knows somebody on the inside” while discussing Sunday’s upcoming AFC Championship game between the Chiefs and the Bills.

During the latest installment of the “I Am Athlete Daily” podcast, former NFL wideout Brandon Marshall asked Kayla to weigh in on the matchup since she used to be a member of Chiefs Kingdom while dating Kansas City’s star тιԍнт end on and off from 2017 until 2022.

“I’m not trying to get messy, this is a real question,” Marshall said. “You know how it is watching the Chiefs and being in it, being a part of it, whether you’re sitting in the stadium for a suite. What makes Patrick Mahomes so dynamic because there are so many games where it came down to the wire… what makes [him] so special?”

Kayla, 32, explained that Mahomes is “a student of the game” before she name-dropped her ex and said he knows how to protect the football.

“I think there is nothing like that environment. That’s the loudest stadium in the league,” the influencer began. “The energy is crazy. I think Patrick too is just a seasoned vet at this point — there is no panic, there is no sudden decisions. This is a well-thought-out offense. He studies the game like nobody else, oh my god yeah that’s all he does. He’s a student of the game.

“Then you got [Chiefs coach] Andy Reid, and I think his playbook is crazy. That’s a known fact about him. Their offense is OD, they have guys they can throw the ball to that’s not gonna drop it in the end zone. Travis Kelce — that’s a тιԍнт end that’s not gonna do it. They got the threats. So as much as I would love to see somebody else in the Super Bowl, just to see something new, it’s not gonna happen.”

When asked how she knows Mahomes, 29, is a student of the game, Kayla joked, “I don’t know… I know somebody on the inside.”

The “Special Forces” personality went on to say that she hopes Bills quarterback Josh Allen can lead his team to the Super Bowl because she’s bored of the Chiefs’ domination.

“As much as I’d love to see Josh pull it off, I don’t know if that’s gonna happen… [It’s] something new,” Kayla said when asked why she’s rooting for the Bills. “I’m bored.”

Kayla and Kelce, 35, dated on and off for five years, and during that time, she became close friends with Mahomes and his wife, Brittany Mahomes.

The former couple was part of the wedding party when Mahomes and Brittany, 29, tied the knot in Hawaii in March 2022.

Kelce has publicly moved on with pop superstar Taylor Swift, with the pair stepping out together in October 2023.

Kayla previously opened up about receiving negative attention on social media due to Kelce and Swift’s relationship.
