New betting favorite emerges to win the Super Bowl after thrilling playoff weekend

The Philadelphia Eagles are now favorites to win Super Bowl LIX, according to the betting markets.

Nick Sirianni’s team take on the Washington Commanders in the NFC Championship game, following their win over the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday.

The Kansas City Chiefs, meanwhile, will face the Buffalo Bills in a mouthwatering AFC Championship game, with the winners meeting in New Orleans next month.

Patrick Mahomes and Co have won back-to-back Super Bowls – including against the Eagles in February 2023.

Both Kansas City and the Detroit Lions were tipped to lift the Vince Lombardi Trophy heading into the Divisional Round.

But the Lions were upset by the Commanders and the Chiefs are now +210 to complete a three-peat, according FanDuel.

The Buffalo Bills and the Washington Commanders are the other teams left in the playoffs

The Eagles, meanwhile, are now just +175 to win, with the Bills third favorites (+260) and the Commanders huge underdogs at +900.

Philadelphia has won only one championship in the Super Bowl era. That came in 2017, when the Eagles won Super Bowl LII against the New England Patriots.

Washington, led by their brilliant rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels, beat Philadelphia in their last meeting.

On Sunday, Dan Quinn’s side will head to Lincoln Financial Field looking to complete a remarkable run to the Super Bowl.

They upset the No 1 seed Detroit Lions in the Divisional Round and now face another tough road game. The Bills, meanwhile, travel to Kansas City after a thrilling victory over the Baltimore Ravens.

The Chiefs continued their pursuit of a fourth Super Bowl in five seasons by beating the Houston Texans at Arrowhead.
