A kiss — and a special handshake — for good luck.
Saquon Barkley shared an endearing moment Sunday with longtime girlfriend Anna Congdon and their daughter, Jada, ahead of his explosive performance in the Eagles’ 28-22 Divisional Round win over the Rams.
While in the tunnel at Lincoln Financial Field, Barkley — who is having a sensational first season with the Eagles — embraced Congdon before turning his attention to Jada for a special handshake, something the father-daughter duo performed last week when Philadelphia topped Green Bay in the wild-card round.
Barkley rushed for a whopping 205 yards and two game-changing touchdowns in Sunday’s Divisional Round victory.
“This is the reason why I came here,” Barkley said after his 78-yard and 62-yard touchdown runs.
“This was the best opportunity to play in a game like this.”
Barkley, 27, last reached the Divisional Round of the playoffs in January 2023 as a member of the Giants.
The Eagles then knocked off their loathed NFC East rival, 38-7, en route to a Super Bowl berth.
Barkley departed the Giants last offseason for a three-year, $37.25 million contract with Philadelphia, now one game away from Super Bowl 2025.
The former first-round pick became the ninth running back in NFL history to surpᴀss 2,000 rushing yards in a single season last month. He finished the regular season with a career-high 2,005 yards — 100 yards shy of Eric Dickerson’s record set in 1984.
Barkley, who has been dating Congdon since their college days at Penn State, is now advancing to his first-ever NFC Championship game.
The second-seeded Eagles will host the No. 6 seed Commanders next Sunday.
The Eagles last reached the Super Bowl in 2023 when they squared off against the Chiefs.
Kansas City triumphed in a 38-35 shootout over Philadelphia.
It remains to be seen if a New Orleans rematch is in the cards for the Eagles and Chiefs, who will face the Bills next Sunday in the AFC тιтle game as their quest for a Super Bowl three-peat continues.
