Ravens’ pregame Mark Andrews post ages horribly after crushing ending

A pregame post hyping Ravens тιԍнт end Mark Andrews backfired spectacularly on Sunday as a costly drop in snowy Buffalo put the final nail in Baltimore’s season with a 27-25 Divisional Round loss.

The post, originally shared on the Ravens’ X account before kickoff Sunday night, featured Andrews warming up as snow fell on the field at Highmark Stadium.

“A little snow doesn’t bother @Mandrews_81,” the message read.

The weather only intensified from there as the Bills and Ravens battled it out in frigid conditions for the right to advance to the AFC Championship game.

With Baltimore trailing 27-19 late in the fourth, star quarterback Lamar Jackson led an eight-play, 88-yard touchdown drive to put the Ravens within two.

When going for the two-point conversion, Jackson looked to an open Andrews, who dropped the ball while attempting to cross the plane.

The Ravens then attempted an onside kick that the Bills recovered, with quarterback Josh Allen taking a knee to close out the game.

Andrews’ devastating drop followed an earlier fumble from one of Jackson’s most reliable targets.

“It’s a team effort,” Jackson said postgame, according to NFL.com. “He’s been busting his body. Making plays happen on that field for us, came up short.”

Ravens coach Jim Harbaugh also backed the three-time Pro Bowler afterward, stating, “We wouldn’t be here without Mark Andrews.”

Andrews, 29, was not available to speak to the media after the game.

A third-round pick out of Oklahoma in 2018, Andrews has spent his entire career with the Ravens and was named First-Team All-Pro in 2021.

Andrews finished the 2024 regular season with 55 receptions for 673 yards and 11 touchdowns through 17 games.

The Bills will now travel to Kansas City to face the reigning champion Chiefs in next Sunday’s AFC тιтle game with a spot in Super Bowl 2025 on the line.

The Ravens, the AFC’s top seed in 2024, fell to the Chiefs at home last January in the conference championship.
