Brittany Mahomes splits fans by going to the Chiefs game six days after giving birth

Brittany Mahomes took loyalty to her husband to a new level this weekend, returning to Arrowhead for Chiefs vs Texans six days after giving birth to her third child.

Mahomes and husband Patrick announced earlier in the week that their daughter Golden Raye was born on January 12.

Six days later, with quarterback Patrick leading the Chiefs’ charge against Houston Texans, Brittany was on the sidelines at Arrowhead Stadium to cheer him on to victory.

She even took a seat on the floor with her two older kids to watch Patrick’s press conference after Chiefs had won 24-13, setting up a blockbuster showdown against the Buffalo Bills next Sunday for a place in the Super Bowl.

Brittany has, at times, been a polarizing figure among football fans but she is rarely missing for her husband’s big games, much to amazement of fans everywhere this weekend.

One fan account, called ChiefsKingdomMom, wrote on X: I’f you have never been a woman 5 days post-delivery, you do not understand what it took for her to be on that sideline.

If you have never been a woman 5 days post-delivery, you do not understand what it took for her to be on that sideline. I am not talking about childcare or her appearance, I am talking about what her body is going through. I was floored when I saw she was there. Simply amazing. https://t.co/pMAxi9SedL

Another said: ‘Brittany Mahomes on the sideline 6 days postpartum is so crazy.’

The Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce fan account TayvisHaze also shared a video of Brittany and Patrick kissing before the game, and wrote: ‘You can say whatever you want about Brittany Mahomes, but you cannot question her loyalty to Patrick.’

Brittany, 29, also shared pictures of her day at the game on her Instagram account and while most of the comments commended her for being there, some were less impressed.

‘Didn’t you just give birth? Like a week ago? I understand you supporting your man and y’all are (playing) at home but you should be at the house,’ one response said.

Another fan put: ‘I don’t know this feels toxic. To all the new mamas out there, don’t think for one second you have to bounce back this quick. It’s okay to stay in the house and heal.’

A similar comment read: ‘This is crazy, it’s ok to miss a game and heal. Sorry, this is not a flex.’

The couple had announced last July that they were expecting another child together.

Six months later Brittany confirmed that she brought Golden Raye into the world on Sunday January 12.

In an Instagram post on Monday, she shared a pH๏τo of her and Patrick’s hands resting above Golden Raye’s feet, which were placed just in front of a sign with her name on it.

The 29-year-old Patrick had said on Christmas Day that Brittany was due to give birth imminently and joked that he hoped it was during his team’s bye week before the NFL playoffs.

But regardless of what people think of her attending Saturday’s game, Brittany made it along to watch another Chiefs win so it would seem likely she returns next Sunday for the Bills game.

Should Patrick and his team win that, they will play for the Super Bowl тιтle in New Orleans on February 9.
