Shocking moment Lions fans stomp on man's head after he 'disrespected a woman' in stands during playoff game

A gruesome fan fight at Ford Field has gone viral on social media following the top-seeded Detroit Lions’ stunning playoff loss to the visiting Washington Commanders on Saturday.

The Divisional Round upset was bad enough for the home fans, but things got even worse when two separate groups of spectators tangled on a stairway during the game.

One man at the bottom of the pile appeared to get the majority of the abuse. He was seen protecting his face with his arms wrapped around the base of a handrail as others did their best to stomp and punch the frightened man.

‘Stop talking s**** to women, p****!’ one voice could be heard yelling off camera as security picked apart the combatants.

‘You got knocked the f*** out,’ another added, apparently referencing a scene from a popular 1995 Ice Cube film. ‘You got knocked out like it’s ‘’Friday.’’’

DailyMail.com has reached out to the team and local police for further information. For now, all that is known comes from the cell phone footage and the people who posted the clips on social media.

One cameraperson credited with the filming the brawl claims the victim of the mob wasn’t a Lions or a Commanders supporter, but a San Francisco 49ers fan.

Furthermore, they repeated the accusation that the man at the bottom of the pile had instigated the fracas.

‘Maybe dont disrespect women & then sucker punch someone and this wouldnt happen,’ read a post from someone with the handle: @zelly_bean.

Other footage from the same end zone shows insults being hurled from several rows apart.

The brawl comes at another low point for fan behavior across the NFL.

Last week, Philadelphia Eagles fan Ryan Caldwell was filmed abusing a female Packers supporter in a video that subsequently went viral. He called her a ‘ugly, dumb c***’, he’s since lost his job and he he’s been banned from coming back to Lincoln Financial Field .

It was the latest controversy involving Eagles fans and it cemented the notion – at least in the eyes of their rivals – that these supporters are aggressive, unpleasant, even violent.

But another narrative emerged online after the fight at Ford Field, with social media critics claiming Lions fans are even worse than those in Philadelphia.

‘Moral of the story is don’t go to Detroit,’ one person wrote on X. ‘Worst fans in the NFL when it comes to watching an away game. Was just at this year’s Seahawks game and it was pathetic. Fights everywhere. Glad you lost [the game] and I hope your [Super Bowl] window is closed.’

‘The only moral of the story here is that the lions are really coming for Philly in terms of worst fan base in the league,’ another added. ‘In such short time too. Pathetic.’
