Inside the Washington Commanders WAGs’ celebrations as their partners stun top-seeded Detroit Lions

As the Washington Commanders stunned the top seed Detroit Lions Saturday night, their wives and girlfriends went wild.

The Commanders upset the NFC No. 1 seed with a 45-31 divisional round victory on the road in Detroit.

Back home in Washington, their partners toasted the thrilling win with their own watch party celebrations.

Mikaela Worley, who recently got engaged to safety Jeremy Reaves, shared a glimpse into the Commanders WAGs’ celebrations with fans.

Worley shared a video to Instagram, showing the group of women jumping up and down and high-fiving each other as they gathered around the TV screen.

They were also captured toasting the win, which sealed the Commanders’ first NFC Championship game in 33 years.

‘We’re headed to the NFC CHAMPIONSHIP BABY!!!!,’ Worley captioned the post.

Following a dominant regular season in which they secured the NFC’s No. 1 seed for the first time ever, the Lions entered the playoffs as Super Bowl favorites ahead of back-to-back winners the Kansas City Chiefs.

Yet on a stunning night at Ford Field, Dan Campbell could only watch on as his team fell at the very first hurdle in a remarkable 45-31 defeat to the Commanders, who were nearly double-digit underdogs heading into the Divisional playoff.

Rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels inspired yet another Washington win for the ages in an all-time classic playoff encounter which the visitors led 31-21 at halftime.

Daniels, who has been a revelation in his debut NFL season, completed 22 of his 31 pᴀsses for 299 yards and two touchdowns in another masterful display.

Running back Brian Robinson Jr. also had two rushing touchdowns for 72 yards, while receiver Dyami Brown recorded six catches for 98 yards.

The upset victory means Washington can now gear up for its first appearance in the NFC Championship game since 1991 – the year they last won the Super Bowl.

Prior to their Wild Card win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the Commanders had not won an NFL playoff game since 2006. They had also failed to make it into the postseason in each of the last three seasons, while only doing so once in close to a decade.

Now the nation’s capital will be dreaming of the most unlikely of Super Bowl trips with Daniels at the helm.

Should they make it that far, the 24-year-old will become the first ever rookie to start in the NFL’s showpiece event.

The Commanders will now face the winner of Sunday’s NFC divisional matchup between the Philadelphia Eagles and the Los Angeles Rams in the City of Brotherly Love.

It has been a whirlwind few weeks for Worley and Reaves following a very public proposal.

Shortly after the Commanders beat the Atlanta Falcons in overtime to secure their place in the NFL playoffs in December, Reaves got down on one knee and proposed to Worley on the field.

After popping the question, Reaves said he wouldn’t have proposed if his Commanders team had lost.

‘I hate losing, so there’s no way I could have done that in the right spirit after a loss,’ he said.

‘That thing was burning a hole in my pocket. If we win this game, it’s destiny. She’s earned it.

‘I can’t say enough about her. When I was at my lowest last year, she was there to pick me up everyday. She showed up. That’s my best friend. Been my best friend since high school.

‘You can tell a lot about somebody when they are going through the worst and how they handle it.

‘I was going through the worst last year coming off an ACL (tear). Couldn’t do anything, couldn’t be my own man and she was the crutch there when I couldn’t do it myself.’
