Rams vs. Eagles odds, prediction: NFL divisional round best bets, picks

Freezing cold temperatures won’t be too kind in the city of not-so-brotherly love.

It would seem that Sunday’s climate, combined with a raucous crowd, will be coming for the Los Angeles Rams, who are six-point underdogs against the Eagles.

Early weather reports suggest there is a 75 percent chance of rain or snow at Lincoln Financial Field on Sunday.

It’s hard to imagine that the Rams will enjoy that climate.

Quarterback Matthew Stafford, who spent his career playing for the Lions and Rams (both of whom play in dome), is 1-8 in games with precipitation, according to Warren Sharp.

All of that screams potential disaster against the run-first Eagles on Sunday.

Rams vs. Eagles prediction

The weather is one angle and then there’s what we see on the field.

Los Angeles gets away with using their two-star receivers Cooper Kupp and Puka Nacua to lead an aerial offensive attack.

Of concern is that the Eagles play mostly man coverage, which Stafford struggles against, with the eighth-worst quarterback rating among starters (86.7) against that type of defense.

Stafford also crushes blitzing defenses, while the Eagles blitz the seventh-least in the NFL (23.4 percent).

All things considered, we’re looking at the Saquon Barkley and Jalen Hurts show in Philadelphia and a struggle-filled offensive showing for the Rams.

Los Angeles allows 4.6 yards per carry, the 26th-best mark in the NFL.

Betting on the NFL?

How they will stop them with that run defense is a mystery to me.

Take Philadelphia in this one.

PICK: Eagles -6 (-110, Caesars)
