The growing list of grievances against Philadelphia Eagles fans may have added another dark chapter.
As legendary Dallas Cowboys pᴀss rusher DeMarcus Ware revealed to Fox News, his mother was targeted with dangerous projectiles when he played at Lincoln Financial Field as a rookie in 2005.
‘My rookie season when my mom was in the stands, I told her not to wear my jersey, and she was in the front row, and were up there in Philly, they were putting batteries in snowballs and throwing them and one of them hit my mom,’ Ware said.
The Hall of Famer admitted he nearly went looking for the culprit in the stands.
‘I turned around at the time, and I didn’t care about football anymore,’ Ware said. ‘I wanted to go get the guy who was in the stands. But I didn’t.’
The Cowboys would beat the Eagles 21-20 that day, which would go on to fuel Ware in future meetings with Philadelphia.

All time, Ware had 16 total sacks in 17 games against the Eagles as the Cowboys compiled a 9-8 record in those matchups.
This story has surfaced as the Eagles faithful are receiving some bad PR after an unfortunate incident at last Sunday’s playoff win over the visiting Green Bay Packers.
It was during that game that a female Packers fan was targeted by an Eagles supporter, who called her an ‘ugly, dumb c***,’ as seen in a viral video of the incident.
That fan has been identified as 45-year-old Ryan Caldwell, who has since been fired from his job as an analyst for a DEI consulting agency.
In the days that followed, other criticism of Eagles fans have surfaced.
‘I hate Eagles fans,’ rookie Rams edge rusher Jared Verse told The Los Angeles Times ahead of Sunday’s Divisional Round playoff game in Philadelphia. ‘They’re so annoying. I hate Eagles fans.
‘When I see that green and white I hate it,’ he added. ‘I actually get upset. Like I actually genuinely get H๏τ.’
Verse revealed his bitter rivalry with the Eagles faithful began when they subjected him to verbal abuse at LA’s SoFi Stadium back in November.
Verse’s rant comes days after an Eagles fan was fired from his job for a vile tirade at a game
The obscenities were so loud that he could hear them through his headphones.
‘I didn’t even do nothing to ’em,’ the Ohio-born rookie said. ‘It was my first time playing. Oh, I hate Eagles fans.’
Eagles fans are notorious for their behavior, which previously necessitated the construction of an on-site courtroom and jail to process anyone arrested during games at Veteran’s Stadium. The team’s current stadium, Lincoln Financial Field, had a similar setup after it opened, but that was discontinued shortly thereafter.
Locals have famously booed a Santa Clause performer, who was pelted with snowballs by unruly Eagles fans in 1968, and once cheered when Cowboys receiver Michael Irvin was thought to have suffered a horrific neck injury in 1999.
Of course, the guilty parties in these cases represent a small minority of fans, but there remains debate over what percentage of Eagles supporters are part of the problem.
