Jim Harbaugh goes around LA thanking first responders for fighting the wildfires

Los Angeles Chargers head coach Jim Harbaugh spent one recent night on the outskirts of the ongoing southern California wildfires thanking first responders who are fighting to put out the blaze.

Harbaugh has only lived in the Los Angeles area since January, when he was hired to take the helm of the team from a national-championship win at Michigan.

The conversations with the first responders are brief on camera, as the video posted by the Chargers jumps around to several chats.

What is evident in every conversation is how Harbaugh introduces himself, as just ‘Jim’ as opposed to his тιтle on the gridiron, or taking any confidence that they already know who he is.

Some of the first responders clearly are familiar with him as handshakes are abound and plenty of pictures are taken.

In his first season leading Los Angeles, the Chargers finished with an 11-6 record in the regular season and made the playoffs. Their season ended last weekend with a Wild Card defeat to the Houston Texans.

The wildfires have killed 25 people thus far and continue to damage property across the Los Angeles area.

Resources from plenty of outside states and the federal government have come to try and quell the blaze as quickly as possible.

Due to the wildfires, the Kings, Lakers, and Clippers have all had games postponed.

The Los Angeles Rams’ playoff game against the Vikings, which was originally slated to be played at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, was moved to Arizona.

Should the Rams and Commanders both win on the road this weekend in the Divisional round, there is no word on whether the Los Angeles area could host the NFC Championship.
