Gracie Hunt, daughter of Kansas City Chiefs CEO Clark Hunt, believes that Taylor Swift’s presence boosted the team’s fanbase by more than a third.
Speaking to People, the Chiefs heiress estimated how much the songstress has grown the franchise’s fanbase.
The 25-year-old shared that Swift boosted the club’s supporters by ‘between 30 and 40 percent’ since attending her first game in September 2023 at the Genesis of her relationship with Travis Kelce.
Hunt also called Swift’s entrance into Chiefs Kingdom ‘surreal’ and ‘special’ while praising the 14-time Grammy winner.
‘She is absolutely incredible, as the whole world knows, and it’s been such a special time to have her be a part of Chiefs Kingdom,’ Hunt gushed. ‘She is just as beautiful and wonderful as you’d ever imagine her to be, so smart and intelligent.’
Swift’s impact on the Chiefs’ viewership and attendance comes as no surprise, as she influenced her cult-like fanbase to tune into the reigning NFL champions. Ahead of the 2024 Super Bowl, 16 per cent of US shoppers confirmed she influenced their decision to spend on the game.
