Travis Kelce reveals Taylor Swift's real stance on him retiring from NFL

Travis Kelce have revealed that his girlfriend, Taylor Swift, has ‘fully encouraged’ him to keep playing football despite their relationship taking bigger strides in recent months.

Kelce and Swift have been dating publicly since September 2023, with the 14-time Grammy winner recently settling in Nashville to spend more time with her Kansas City Chiefs beau now that the ‘Eras Tour’ has wrapped.

Retirement rumors have surrounded Kelce for nearly a year, since he spent a lot of the offseason traveling the world to attend Swift’s concerts and take part in large-scale non-football activities such as his ‘New Heights’ podcast and the ‘Are You Smarter Than A Celebrity?’ game show.

‘She’s fully encouraged me to enjoy playing this game,’ Kelce said on Stephen A Smith’s show. ‘She loves coming to Arrowhead and coming to the games and cheering for me. I have all the support in the world to keep chasing these dreams.’

Kelce also directly addressed the retirement rumors, knowing he has three games maximum left in the NFL season. He’ll turn 36 in October.

‘It changes every single day man,’ Kelce said about retirement. ‘I love everythng that I’m doing in this building. But at the end of the day, I’m not having that extreme success on the field as I have individually man. I’m excited for these next couple games to play up at Arrowhead, to finish this season off.

‘I’ll reevaluate it as I always do. And I’ll probably tell myself how much I love this thing and I’ll come back next year. It’s something you have to keep in perspective man. I never want to get to the point where I’m not helping this team win or I’m hurting this team more than I’m helping this team.’

‘As long as I’m coming out here and playing good football and enjoying coming into the building every day with my guys, you’ll see me in a Chiefs uniform.’

More to come.
