Congratulations are in order for Patrick Mahomes and his wife Brittany Mahomes.
The Chiefs quarterback and the fitness entrepreneur welcomed daughter Golden Raye on Sunday, as seen in joint posts on Instagram on Monday.
The couple is already parents to daughter Sterling Skye, 3, and son Bronze, 2.
Mahomes previously explained that they were expecting their third child “any day now” before Kansas City’s 29-10 win over the Steelers on Christmas.
“Brittany says I’ve been stressing her out too much this season,” Mahomes, 29, told Kay Adams in a clip that aired on Netflix prior to the game. “So I got to try to not put so much stress on her through these football games.
“Hopefully God works the right way and we can have that baby on ‘the bye’ week somewhere, and then everything will work out perfectly.”
Mahomes got his wish.
The Chiefs secured the No. 1 seed, home-field advantage in the AFC and a first-round bye in the playoffs after defeating the Steelers.
“I told my pregnant wife I was gonna get her the number one seed so we can go have that baby,” Mahomes said in a post-game interview on Christmas. “So we got that number one seed.”
Brittany, also 29, reposted a clip of Mahomes after the game and gushed that he’s “always keeping his promises.”
The couple, who are co-owners of the KC current of the NWSL, announced they were expecting another girl in July 2023.
