The newly engaged Hailee Steinfeld was ready for Bills playoff football Sunday.
The future Mrs. Josh Allen, whose game-day appearances typically fly under the radar, took in Buffalo’s 31-7 wild-card win over Denver from Highmark Stadium in Western New York, where she sat in a suite with friends and fellow Bills WAGs.
Steinfeld, who revealed her engagement to Allen in November, was seen rocking a Bills baseball cap as she sat next to Paige Buechele, the wife of backup quarterback Shane Buechele, Tayler Bernard, the partner of linebacker Terrel Bernard and Hallie Watson.
Allen and the Bills dominated the Broncos on Sunday, with the MVP candidate going 20-for-26 for 272 yards and two touchdowns.
“At the end of the day, we just wanted to come out and play our best football, and I feel like we did that today,” said the quarterback, who didn’t turn the ball over once.
The second-seeded Bills will now host the No. 3 seed Ravens in the Divisional Round next Sunday.
Lamar Jackson, a fellow MVP frontrunner, guided Baltimore to a 28-14 win over Pittsburgh in their wild-card clash Saturday night.
The winner of Bills-Ravens will face the victor of next Saturday’s Texans-Chiefs showdown in the AFC Championship game on Jan. 26.
The Chiefs have thwarted the Bills’ playoff runs over the past few years.
Kansas City topped Buffalo in the AFC Championship in January 2021. A year later, the Chiefs narrowly defeated the Bills with an overtime victory in the Divisional Round.
The Bills fell to the Chiefs again in last year’s Divisional Round.
Though it remains to be seen if the Bills will write a different ending to their season this year, 2024 has been nothing short of a fairytale for Allen and Steinfeld, both 28.
First linked in 2023, the former first-round pick proposed to the actress-singer during the Bills’ bye week.
“The funniest thing was that we woke up and were getting ready for brunch and you jumped on the bed and said, ‘Can we get married already?!? What are you waiting for??!’” Allen said of Steinfeld as he recalled the proposal in December.
“I replied, ‘Just give me a little more time.’ Little did you know I was about to propose to you.”
Buffalo has welcomed its “queen” with open arms.
Before Sunday’s game, CBS Sports’ lead NFL reporter Tracey Wolfson posted a pH๏τo of a billboard on X that celebrated the couple’s engagement.
“The queen has a new city,” the sign read, referencing Steinfeld. “Congratulations, Josh and Hailee.”
