Daily Fantasy picks for this weekend’s NFL Wild Card games

The NFL regular season is complete. Your fantasy playoffs are over. You are grappling with the reality that the number of overall games left is barely more than the number you have watched on a single Sunday for the past 18 weeks.

But wait … before you succumb to the annual post-football depression, there are still some fantasy crumbs to nibble upon before the great football fast. Daily fantasy sports (DFS) contests can feed the beast just a little while longer, a dessert after a season-long fantasy meal.

There are good reasons to dive into DFS at this point in the football season. Many of those who play seasonal leagues will be looking for a fix, unable to just go cold turkey until next fall. This can add some inexperience to the contest pool, making it a bit easier for sharper players to gain an edge.

Also, the short slates limit the stacking options. So those who don’t invest in dozens, or hundreds, of DFS entries have a better chance of picking the right game to stack. After all, finding the one out of six is easier than the one out of 16.
