Drunk Raiders star Charles Snowden’s shock response to cops after being arrested in Las Vegas

Las Vegas Raiders star Charles Snowden told cops he thought he was in Florida when arrested on a DUI charge in Nevada last month.

The defensive end was found pᴀssed out at the wheel of a running car with a blood-alcohol level of more than double the legal limit and is facing a single misdemeanor count.

The officers were dispatched to Snowden’s 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee at around 11:30pm local time on December 9 after receiving a call of a suspicious vehicle.

Las Vegas Metro Police arrested Snowden on Rainbow Boulevard near Sunset Road on the southwest side of the city.

There, they discovered that Snowden’s SUV had almost rolled off a four foot retaining wall. The engine was running with the vehicle in neutral.

New bodycam footage shows the moment police descended on Snowden’s car. It’s claimed he ‘woke up for a few seconds’ but then fell back asleep.

When Snowden, who can be seen wearing a Santa hat with ‘Raiders’ on it, eventually got out of the vehicle, he gave a bizarre answer to cops.

‘What are you doing out here?’ Snowden was asked.

‘Trying to get home,’ Snowden said.

‘Trying to get home? Where are you coming from? Do you know what state you’re in?’ the officer replies.

‘Florida,’ Snowden then said.

‘You’re not in Florida. Do you know what city?’ the officer responded.

There is no answer from Snowden and he then appears to drift off on the hood of the police car.

Snowden is said to have smelt of alcohol and couldn’t stay balanced on his feet. The two blood samples from Snowden showed ethanol concentrations of 0.19 and 0.18 with the legal limit in Nevada being 0.08.

‘Mr. Snowden will be entering a not guilty plea and we will respond in court, which is the appropriate forum,’ his attorneys, David Chesnoff and Richard Schonfeld, said in a statement via CBS.

Last month, the Raiders organization said it was aware of the arrest but would ‘not comment further as this is a legal matter.’

Undrafted out of Virginia , the 26-year-old Snowden has just finished his first full NFL season.

Although he was undrafted, the Maryland native has carved out a roll for the Raiders after serving on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers ‘ practice squad in 2022.
