The Roman Theatre of Cartagena, located in Murcia, Spain, is a magnificent reminder of the city’s ancient history.
Constructed during the late 1st century BCE under Emperor Augustus, the theatre could accommodate up to 7,000 spectators. Its design incorporates the natural slope of the hill, showcasing Roman architectural ingenuity.
Rediscovered in 1988 after centuries of being hidden beneath newer structures, the theatre has since been meticulously restored.
Today, it forms part of the Roman Theatre Museum, which offers insights into Cartagena’s rich past
