Tom Brady recruiting Bill Belichick to coach Raiders in ‘recent’ conversation

Tom Brady’s relationship with Bill Belichick hasn’t soured, after all.

Despite his former coach’s shocking move to North Carolina, the former Patriots quarterback, who is now a minority owner with the Raiders, has spoken “recently” to Belichick about reuniting in Las Vegas, NFL Network reported Wednesday.

The report indicates that the two spoke before the final decision was made to fire first-year coach Antonio Pierce on Tuesday.

Brady wanted to know “what it would take” for Belichick to take the Raiders job.

“Multiple NFL teams” have asked whether Belichick would return to the pros, the report added, after he stunned the football world last month by accepting the Tar Heels job.

Brady, 47, and Belichick, 72, won six Super Bowls together with the Patriots over 20 seasons before Brady left for the Buccaneers after reported tension between the two.

Brady won a Super Bowl in his first season in Tampa, while Belichick struggled in four seasons without his longtime quarterback, making the playoffs just once before parting ways with New England last year.

There was tepid interest in Belichick during last year’s coaching cycle; he only interviewed with the Falcons, who hired Raheem Morris.

Belichick then took on a handful of media jobs for the 2024 season, with many believing he would try to get back into the NFL and try to break Don Shula’s record for all-time coaching wins, which he trails by 14.

But with NFL interest uncertain, Belichick took the UNC job — only after reaching out to the Jets about their vacancy following Robert Saleh’s midseason firing, The Post’s Brian Costello reported last month.

His contract has a $10 million buyout if he were to leave before June 1 of this year.
