The myѕtery of the ugly сorpses of… mermаids

Surely no one is unfamiliar with the character of the mermaid by writer Alexandre . In addition to this lovely story, there are many stories revolving around mermaids – merpeople, most of them are described very consistently with the waist as the boundary, the upper half is the body of a girl, the lower half is the tail of a fish, the whole body not only exudes seductive beauty but also has something ghostly, especially the seductive singing voice. According to legend, mermaids have no soul, no feelings, just like the vast ocean.

Mermaid in legend

So are mermaids just a product of the imagination? Some people do not believe so, and the following evidence will also make you think again about this issue.

On July 2, 1991, Singapore’s “United Daily News” reported that scientists had discovered the world’s first complete mermaid fossil, proving that the existence of mermaids is not just a legend. This relatively complete fossil was found on the coast of Yugoslavia and was determined to be 1,200 years old.

Dr. Aughni said: “The mermaid died from being stranded, then the body was protected by sand and rocks and gradually turned into a fossil.” It is determined that the mermaid is 1m6 tall, with a human-like development above the waist, a developed brain, relatively large brain volume, 5-fingered hands with claws, strong jaws with sharp teeth to tear prey, a face with all the organs but no eyelids.

1 fossil believed to be a mermaid.

In April 1990, the Chinese newspaper “Wenhui” reported that a group of construction workers in the city of Sochi, on the Black Sea coast, discovered the tomb of a mermaid mummy buried with treasure. This news was revealed by the Soviet archaeologist – Dr. Zelemi , who witnessed it with his own eyes and completely believed in the existence of mermaids. He spent more than 4 years on this coast to research.

Looking at the mummy, people guessed that it was a beautiful black girl, but surprisingly, not only was the lower part of the body a fish tail, but also the top of the head had gills. It is estimated that this mermaid is about 1m7 long. Scientists believe that this mummy is more than 100 years old.

Regarding the appearance of mermaids, a doctor from the Soviet Academy of Sciences also said that in 1962, a ship carrying scientists and military experts caught a child off the coast of Cuba who could speak, but had rough skin with scales and gills, a head like a human but a fish tail.

The truth about mermaids is still not 100% confirmed. Below are some images that were once thought to be the corpses of mermaids.

Looks a bit creepy, doesn’t it?

Those teeth are scary…
