Starting NFL quarterback announces birth of first child as he and stunning wife pose with new baby girl

Trevor Lawrence is officially a father, after he and wife Marissa shared some adorable pH๏τos with their newborn daughter.

The Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback underwent season-ending shoulder surgery last month, and he spent the final weekend of the regular season not on the side of the field but instead in hospital with his significant other.

Trevor and Marissa’s family of two became three on Saturday morning, when Marissa gave birth to their daughter, Shae Lynn.

In a post on Instagram, which included a series of behind-the-scenes pH๏τos from the baby’s first few hours on Earth, revealed she was born at 4:01am.

In one snap, Lawrence – who recently signed a monster $275million contract – can be seen smiling as he poses alongside Marissa and Shae Lynn immediately after the birth, and in another he carries her out of the hospital.

In another adorable pH๏τo, Marissa can be seen lovingly staring down at her newborn baby, with the couple’s stunning back yard and swimming pool visible in the background.

Lawrence carried the baby in his right arm and still had his left in a sling over the weekend, as he continues his recovery in a bid to be healthy for the start of the 2025 season.

The former No 1 overall pick hasn’t played since suffering a concussion on a controversial hit from Houston Texans linebacker Azeez Al-Shaair on December 4.

He ultimately cleared concussion protocol before his shoulder surgery, according to the team. Al-Shaair was suspended for hitting the sliding Lawrence in the head.

Lawrence’s announcement about the birth of his daughter came just hours after the Jaguars fired head coach Doug Pederson on the NFL’s notorious ‘Black Monday’.

He became the first coach to be fired the day after the end of the regular season, after the Jags went a disappointing 4-13.

In a statement announcing the move, Jaguars owner Shad Khan called Pederson an ‘accomplished football man’ and also indicated that GM Trent Baalke would be retained.

‘I had the difficult task this morning of informing Doug Pederson of my intention to hire a new head coach to lead the Jacksonville Jaguars,’ Khan began.

‘Doug is an accomplished football man who will undoubtedly enjoy another chapter in his impressive NFL career, and I will be rooting for Doug and his wife Jeannie when that occasion arrives.

‘As much as Doug and I both wish his experience here in Jacksonville would have ended better, I have an obligation first and foremost to serve the best interests of our team and especially our fans, who faithfully support our team and are overdue to be rewarded. In that spirit, the time to summon new leadership is now.’

Whoever takes over the team should have a fully healthy Lawrence under center for the start of preseason.
