Bills star Von Miller bags staggering .5million bonus for sack after 52 seconds against the Patriots

Buffalo Bills pᴀss rusher Von Miller earned a $1.5million bonus after recording a sack just 52 seconds into Sunday’s game against the host New England Patriots.

The sack was the sixth of the season for Miller, and that total allowed the Super Bowl 50 MVP to reach the incentive in his contract.

Miller reached that sack total despite playing in a little more than 12 games this season. He served a four-game suspension for violating the NFL’s personal conduct policy.

Miller, 35, celebrated wildly after taking Patriots rookie quarterback Drake Maye to the turf at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Mᴀss.

He may not be done, however. He needed 1.5 more sacks on Sunday to pocket another $2m.

Miller is a three-time All-Pro and eight-time Pro Bowl selection. He also was part of Super Bowl-winning teams in both the Denver Broncos and Los Angeles Rams.

Buffalo wide receiver Amari Cooper was ruled out of the game and didn’t travel with the team after being excused for a personal family matter.

Cooper, 30, has started four of eight games that he’s played with Buffalo since he was traded from Cleveland on October 15 along with a 2025 sixth-round pick for a 2025 third-round pick and a 2026 seventh-round selection.

He has 20 receptions on 32 targets for 297 yards and two touchdowns with the Bills. Cooper started six games for the Browns and had 24 catches for 250 yards and two TDs.

The Bills already have clinched the AFC East тιтle and a home game in the first round of the playoffs, while the Patriots are concluding their season.
