Tom Brady has bizarre sideline interaction before calling Tampa Bay-New Orleans game

Tom Brady made a new friend on Sunday as he met the Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ good luck duck before their game against the New Orleans Saints.

Before calling the Sunday Night showdown at Raymond James Stadium, the GOAT hung out with the duck on the sidelines.

Brady stroked the duck’s chest with the back of his hand while chatting with a Bucs staff member.

The duck has been the Buccaneers’ lucky charm ahead of their regular season finale after supersтιтious fans credited it for their win over the Carolina Panthers last Sunday.

CBS Sports’ camera crew caught the duck as it wandered onto the field before panning back to the action as the Panthers lined up for a punt.

Johnny Hekker’s punt was then blocked before linebacker JJ Russell recovered the ball for six yards. The Bucs went on to win the game 48-18.

‘Quack, quack — and Hekker has it blocked!’ Ian Eagle said on the broadcast.

How the duck got to the field remains a mystery, but it has since been hailed as the team’s good luck charm.

‘That was the craziest thing I’ve ever seen here,’ Tampa Bay receiver Mike Evans said of the bird. ‘That was our good luck duck.’

‘I’ve never seen us block a punt, and then we scored a touchdown. When the duck flew on the field, that was amazing.’

With a 9-7 record, the Buccaneers hope to clinch a playoff spot against New Orleans on Sunday. A victory over the Saints will make Tampa Bay the NFC South champion for the fourth consecutive season.

Meanwhile, a loss would crown the Atlanta Falcons should they emerge victorious over the Panthers.
