Why Shedeur Sanders and Travis Hunter will not be at the NFL Draft

Colorado coach Deion Sanders revealed that his son and quarterback Shedeur and Heisman-winning player Travis Hunter will not attend the NFL Draft in April.

While both Buffaloes stars are projected to be top 5 picks, Coach Prime confirmed neither Shedeur nor Travis will walk across the stage to shake Roger Goodell’s hand and take pictures with their future teams’ jerseys.

As other NFL aspirants take to Lambeau Field in Green Bay, they will celebrate with the Buffaloes community on campus.

Speaking on the Rich Eisen Show, Sanders revealed that it is more critical for them to be surrounded by their ‘wonderful student body’ for the festivities.

‘You won’t see us,’ Sanders said. ‘We’re good man. We wanna celebrate with our people, with our folks, with our wonderful student body.

Not revealing what the plans are for the draft, Sanders wagged his finger toward the camera and said, ‘I’m just teasing you a little bit.’

CBS has Hunter selected as the first overall pick, with the Cleveland Browns being the likely landing spot. They also have Sanders getting picked fourth.

Meanwhile, ESPN has Sanders getting picked on top of the heap as the top-rated quarterback in the class, and Hunter is going third in the draft order.

In his senior year, Shedeur completed 353 of 477 pᴀsses for 4,134 yards and 37 touchdowns.

On the other hand, the two-way star Hunter made 96 receptions for 1,258 yards and 15. He also rushed for five yards and one touchdown.

Defensively, Hunter contributed 24 solo and 11 ᴀssisted tackles with four interceptions in his Heisman-winning effort.

The Buffaloes finished on top of the Big 12 with a 9-4 record before losing to BYU in the Alamo Bowl.
