Zay Flowers exits early with knee injury in Ravens worry before playoffs

The Ravens might have just suffered a huge blow to their offensive core on Saturday.

Zay Flowers exited early in the Ravens’ 35-10 blowout win over the Browns in the teams’ regular-season finale with a right knee injury.

After the victory, Ravens coach John Harbaugh said his star receiver would undergo an MRI exam on Sunday, adding that “it’s something that he has a chance to be OK with,” according to ESPN.

Sources said Flowers’ injury is most likely a knee sprain and is not considered major, though there is a possibility that he will miss the first round of the playoffs, per Ian Rapoport.

At the start of the second quarter, Flowers caught a short pᴀss and tumbled to the ground while trying to run through the Browns’ secondary in his lone reception on Saturday.

Flowers immediately clutched at his right knee upon falling and appeared to be in visible pain.

The Pro-Bowler was slow to get up, rolling over on the ground before requiring ᴀssistance while limping to the medical tent.

The Ravens first announced Flowers as questionable to return to the game, but was later downgraded to out nearly an hour later, with the team’s calling it a knee injury.

Coming into this week, Flowers played in every game for the Ravens, racking up 1047 receiving yards, along with 73 receptions in 114 targets this season.

Flowers, who was drated in the first round of the 2023 NFL Draft, is in his second and received his first Pro Bowl nod on Thursday.

This season, Flowers has established himself as one of the league’s best receivers and is in the top-20 in the NFL in receiving yards.

Flowers is apart of Baltimore’s elite offensive trio, which includes MVP-candidate Lamar Jackson and four-time Pro Bowl running back Derrick henry.

With Saturday’s win, the Ravens clinched their second consecutive AFC North тιтle and finished the season with a 12-5 record.

The Ravens are locked in as the No. 3 seed for the playoffs, which begin on Jan. 11.

The woeful Browns fell to 3-14.
