Mike Zimmer called one of the most important plays of his life – getting down on one knee and asking stunning model girlfriend Katarina Miketin to marry him – with the model saying yes. 

The 68-year-old Zimmer is currently the Dallas Cowboys defensive coordinator, taking over for the vacancy left by current Washington Commanders head coach Dan Quinn. 

Zimmer met Miketin during his seven season as the head coach of the Minnesota Vikings. 

Miketin has previously revealed that her parents were ‘immigrants from the former Yugoslavia, what is now considered Serbia.’

Miketin, who based on other reports is 42, announced her engagement to Zimmer on Saturday on social media with a collage of pH๏τos of the couple. 

Zimmer is not the only former NFL head coach to publicly display his relationship with a much younger woman, as Bill Belichick, 72, is dating 24-year-old Jordon Hudson.

‘Five years ago they told us we needed to meet… God knew what He was doing. I thank Him for you, my best friend… so, of course … I said Yes!,’ Miketin said on Instagram.

Miketin has 400,000 followers on Instagram alone and has appeared on the cover of Maxim Magazine in Australia. 

She has been pH๏τographed with Zimmer in Cowboys gear and at US Bank Stadium in Minneapolis. 

Zimmer was previously married before his wife, Vikki, pᴀssed away at age 50 in 2009. The couple had three children together. 

Rumors of Miketin and Zimmer dating began in 2020, when they were spotted at a Vikings game together. Miketin confirmed their romance shortly after.

Before announcing her engagement to Zimmer, Miketin does not have any mention of her fiancee on Instagram. 

Now, the couple seemingly have a wedding to plan.
