Lions-Vikings battle a refuge for fantasy football players

Week 18 is a dark time in fantasy football seasons. For most, the season has become merely a shadow, a whisper of history carried on a cold wind.

For the lucky, they survived the journey and captured their glory with a championship victory in Week 17. But for those who dare enter the dark forest of Week 18, there is one more adventure ahead. A slate of games ripe with pitfalls and uncertainties, where motivations and availability offer no steady footing in the fantasy mire.

Yet, there is one, one that may be a light to you in a dark place, when all other lights go out. One glorious game to rule them all.

That place, beyond the fires of NFL rosters scorched by healthy rests and the smoldering despair of injury caution heretofore unseen in this season’s journey, beyond the stormy skies where anger and pride strike as often and unpredictably as hopelessness and apathy … there, in that cacophony of chaos, is your jewel, a battleground encased by walls and roof, known to the mᴀsses as simply: Ford Field.
