Rams QB Matthew Stafford has home inspected as worry grows over NFL burglaries

Matthew Stafford isn’t taking any chances when it comes to the safety of his family amid the recent string of robberies targeting NFL stars, according to TMZ Sports.

The Super Bowl-winning Rams quarterback and father of four reportedly invited police officers and NFL security into his and wife Kelly Stafford’s home in Los Angeles to inspect the property and provide safety measures last month.

Stafford, 36, was not present and it is unclear who exactly was there at the time, per the report.

During the meeting, the NFL staffers asked police about the South American organized crime rings that the FBI said they believe are targeting professional athletes, according to TMZ Sports.

They also discussed working together.

The reported visit to Stafford’s home came after the homes of Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes and тιԍнт end Travis Kelce were targeted in separate break-ins on Oct. 6 (after midnight) and Oct. 7.

According to police documents, $20,000 in cash was taken from Kelce’s home and his back door was damaged.

A watch belonging to Kelce was later discovered in Providence by authorities investigating the robberies.

He was not home at the time.

It’s unclear if Mahomes was home and if he had anything stolen from his home.

In November, the NFL sent a memo to all 32 teams informing them about organized crimes that are targeting the homes of professional athletes, including Mahomes and Kelce.

The next month, Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow’s home was broken into during “Monday Night Football,” when the Bengals beat the Cowboys, 27-20, in Arlington on Dec. 9.

Supermodel Olivia Ponton, 22, reported the break-in while she was still inside Burrow’s Anderson Township home in Ohio.

No one was injured but the home was ransacked, according to a report provided by the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office.

It’s unclear what was stolen.

Mavericks star Luka Doncic’s Dallas-area home was also broken into this week.

Stafford, whose home has not been burglarized, has yet to address the report.

The Rams clinched the NFC West on Sunday via a tiebreaker over the Seahawks and secured a spot in the playoffs.

They will be the No. 3 or No. 4 seed in the NFC.
