Dan Campbell’s wife goes full ‘Game of Thrones’ ahead of crucial Vikings showdown

Holly Campbell said “winter is coming.”

Taking to her Instagram Story, the wife of Lions head coach Dan Campbell used a “Game of Thrones” reference to stir anticipation before Detroit’s regular-season finale against the Vikings with the NFC North, the top seed in the NFC and a first-round bye in the playoffs on the line.

Holly posted a pH๏τo of Sophie Turner as Sansa Stark in the HBO series on Sunday with the caption: “If we don’t take back the North, we’ll never be safe. I want you to help me, but I’ll do it myself if I have to.”

Sansa delivered the quote to half-brother Jon Snow (Kit Harington) in the lead-up to a battle that aired during Season 6 of the fantasy series.

Holly shared an image of a ferocious lion in a separate post on her Instagram Story following Detroit’s 40-34 win over the 49ers on “Monday Night Football” in Santa Clara.

“Made it right. 14-2” she wrote, referring to the Lions’ record this season.

She added the hashtag, “Winter is coming,” a famed phrase from “Game of Thrones.”

Holly also re-shared a graphic the Lions posted about how they were undefeated on the road this season for the first time in franchise history.

Detroit rallied back in an explosive second half to beat the 49ers — who were eliminated from the playoff picture ahead of their Week 16 game against the Dolphins.

Goff was stellar, having completed 26 of his 34 pᴀsses for 303 yards with three touchdowns, no interceptions and a 132.4 pᴀsser rating.

It was a significant win for Campbell.

On Saturday, he explained that he was still haunted by the Lions’ loss to the 49ers in January’s NFC Championship Game a season ago.

“Just like my second year in the league, we go to the Super Bowl and get smashed by Baltimore. I won’t ever forget that either. So those stick with you,” Campbell said via ESPN. “We just didn’t do enough. You learn from every experience. Unfortunately, that’s the best way to learn is from the losses. It really is.”

The NFC North showdown between the Lions and the Vikings (14-2) will take place on Jan. 5 in Detroit.
