A day after Saquon Barkley made NFL history as the ninth running back to reach the 2,000-yard plateau in a season, his longtime girlfriend Anna Congdon paid tribute to her man on social media.

Congdon and Barkley have been a pair since their days at Penn State and have two children, a 6-year-old daughter Jada, who was born days before he was drafted, and a son Saquon Jr., 2. 

Congdon posted two pH๏τos to her Instagram story late Sunday night, the first being a pH๏τo of Barkley from Sunday’s 41-7 win over the Cowboys and her caption: ‘You outshine the morning sun.’ 

The second post shows a pH๏τo of Barkley hurdling backwards over the letters ‘2K’, in reference to his defining moment of the year, and possibly the most iconic moment of the entire NFL regular season. 

During a Nov. 3 game against the Jacksonville Jaguars, Barkley pulled off the near-impossible to pick up a few extra yards by hurdling backwards over Jarrian Jones. 

Barkley is now 100 yards behind legendary NFL running back Eric Dickerson’s single-season rushing record of 2,105 yards.

Some believe Saquon’s mark, should he pᴀss Dickerson, should come with an asterisk, as the NFL has increased the number of regular-season games by one since Dickerson retired.

The Eagles’ playoff position is also not in question. They’ll be the No 2 seed and get a home playoff game regardless of their result against the Giants on Sunday. 

Eagles head coach Matt Sirianni may sit his best players to rest up for a postseason game, with Barkley no doubt being Philadelphia’s most prized possession. 

Congdon likely does not care about any of that as her beau has had one of the best NFL seasons for a running back in league history, regardless of how Week 18 plays out. 

The NFL WAG’s social media show plenty of her in New York blue since 2018. With Barkley’s stats this year, plenty of pH๏τos in green should be on the horizon.
