Security guard is caught running away from Eagles-Cowboys sideline brawl that saw three players get ejected

A security guard was seemingly quick to run away as Philadelphia Eagles and Dallas Cowboys players brawled on Sunday.

With just over two minutes to play, Eagles safety Sydney Brown became embroiled in a scuffle with Cowboys cornerback Troy Pride, with the former dragging him off the field and over towards the tunnel.

Brown then appeared to violently slam Pride to the ground as other players quickly intervened in chaotic scenes at Lincoln Financial Field.

Prior to their initial scuffle, Cowboys wide receiver Jalen Brooks had pulled Brown to the floor from behind at the end of a play.

The Philadelphia star immediately leapt to his feet and made a beeline for Brooks in fury, only for Pride to shove him first and ignite an astonishing melee near the tunnel.

But, as several of their teammates joined the mayhem, a security guard stood by the tunnel was quick to flee from the chaos.

Rather than intervene and try and bring a resolution to the fight, the guard can be seen taking a step back as TV cameras rushed towards the action.

Brown, Pride and Brooks were all ejected from the game heading into the final two minutes.

After the madness died down and play resumed, the Eagles saw out a resounding 41-7 victory which handed them the NFC East тιтle.

Saquon Barkley rushed for 167 yards to top 2,000 on the season, while backup quarterback Kenny Pickett ran and threw for scores before departing with injured ribs in the dominant win.

Barkley has 2,005 yards and needs 101 in next week’s mostly meaningless regular-season finale to top Eric Dickerson and his 2,105 yards for the Los Angeles Rams in 1984.

The Eagles (13-3) led 24-7 in the third quarter when Pickett was drilled by defensive end Micah Parsons, ending his first start in place of the concussed Jalen Hurts.

Tanner McKee, a career third-stringer, entered the game and the Eagles finished the drive with a field goal.

McKee later threw two touchdown pᴀsses, a 20-yarder to A.J. Brown and a 25-yarder to DeVonta Smith, in front of a roaring crowd delighted to watch the Eagles dominate their fiercest rival to wrap up the division тιтle and at least the No. 2 seed in the NFC.

Hurts was injured in last week’s loss at Washington and remains in the NFL’s concussion protocol – he didn´t practice all week — which opened the door for Pickett to start.

Pickett, acquired from Pittsburgh in the offseason, played with extra protection under his jersey after he suffered a rib injury when he was pressed into service against the Commanders.
