Six non-QBs for Giants to consider in 2025 NFL Draft after losing control of top pick

It’s time for the Giants to start strongly considering drafting a non-quarterback atop the first round.

The Giants slipped from No. 1 to No. 4 in the projected draft order after their surprise win against the Colts.

While trading up is still an option to land Shedeur Sanders or Cam Ward, here are the six best non-quarterbacks in the draft class in case the Giants pivot:

WR/CB Travis Hunter, Colorado

The Heisman Trophy winner is an unprecedented prospect — playing every snap on both sides of the ball at an award-winning level in college.

He’s a top-five pick at either position, but which will he play predominantly in the NFL?

CB Will Johnson, Michigan

It’s clear that Deonte Banks is better suited for a second cornerback role.

Johnson, who is coming off a season-ending toe injury, had nine interceptions in 32 career games.

EDGE Abdul Carter, Penn State

In his first season moving from off-ball linebacker to pᴀss rusher, Carter exploded for 11 sacks and 22 tackles for loss.

The Giants’ do-over for pᴀssing on Micah Parsons?

DT Mason Graham, Michigan

The stats won’t wow you (3.5 sacks this season) but he is a run-stuffer with a quick get-off and high motor.

Pairing him with Dexter Lawrence would turn a major weakness into a major strength.

OT Kelvin Banks, Texas

The offensive line needs tweaking again.

Moving Jermaine Eluemunor from right tackle to guard and adding the mauling Banks is one way to go, especially if the Giants give up on former No. 7 overall pick Evan Neal.

WR Tetairoa McMillan, Arizona

The 6–foot-5 jump-ball-winner has averaged 87 catches for 1,360 yards over the past two seasons.

He and Malik Nabers would be a pick-your-poison scenario, as Darius Slayton enters free agency.
