Knicks’ December was as easy as expected with one game left before things get tougher

WASHINGTON — The Knicks are going to have a tough time saying goodbye to December.

They entered the month with the league’s easiest schedule, according to NBA.com, which tabulated their opponents’ win percentage at just 38.6 percent.

They had just one back-to-back, which ended Saturday against the conference’s worst team, the Wizards.

And the Knicks took care of business. If they beat the Wizards again Monday in the rematch, they will own a 13-2 record in December.

It would nearly match their 14-2 mark in January of last season, which was celebrated as the franchise’s winningest month since 1994.
