Tyreek Hill posts cryptic tweet with Dolphins’ season raising long-term concerns

Good luck deciphering this one.

Tyreek Hill posted a cryptic message Wednesday with the Dolphins’ season on life support that certainly can be left open for interpretation.

“It’s time for me to go coach,” the star received posted to X.

The key element of this tweet is the lack of a comma.

If we ᴀssume that Hill pᴀssed on the comma for grammatical reasons, then it seems Hill is making his pitch to turn in his jersey for a headset. Maybe he’s referring to coaching his children’s youth teams.

Perhaps he wants to replace Mike McDaniel, who some have speculated could be on the H๏τ seat if things end “badly” for the Dolphins.

Or maybe he’s been inspired by Michael Vick, who just took over as Norfolk State’s head coach, and wants to join the collegiate ranks.

Now, if we pivot to the comma and wonder if Hill left it out … things get much juicier.

The Dolphins, now 6-8, are all but toast in the AFC wild-card race, needing to win out and receive quite a bit of help to reach the playoffs.

Miami bungled a chance to stay in the race last week with a tough loss at the Texans in the latest example of this Dolphins team falling when it matters most.

It’s fair to wonder whether this Dolphins team as currently constructed can be true contenders or just pretenders who can put up jazzy numbers against weak defenses.

This tweet certainly opens the door to the idea that perhaps the 30-year-old Hill is starting to wonder about whether he’ll ever compete for a championship again in Miami — or anywhere else for that matter.

In 2023, he famously said he’d play out the remainder of his contract with the Dolphins and then call it quits after the 2025 season.

Hill, in his third year with Miami, is having his worst year with the franchise. He’s caught 67 balls for 805 yards and five touchdowns while battling injuries.

With all that being said, there is always the possibility that Hill is referring to only fly in coach moving forward or maybe he’s announcing that he’s only going to use Coach products as of today.

Then again, maybe this tweet is nothing more than X fodder.

At the same time as he posted his “coach message,” he tweeted: “I might get my first grey hair this year.”

Welcome to your 30s, Tyreek.
