I’m A Celebrity fans have shared their concern over ITV’s duty of care after Ant and Dec revealed how much rice and beans the campmates received each day.
Celebrities who make it to the final three are rewarded with a three-course meal of their choice – but that comes after weeks of rations.
Taking to social media last month, Ant and Dec shared the exact amount of food the celebrities got each day if they did poorly in trials.
The pair were seen pouring out the content of two brown packages to show fans the actual amount of rice and beans.
The amount was so small that it left Dec saying he understood why campmates had ‘fished the beans out of the river’ in a previous episode.
But fans were concerned after seeing the rice and beans, as they claimed it could be duty of care issue that the celebrities weren’t getting their five-a-day.

Reading out a question which had been sent in, Dec said in the clip: ‘How much rice and beans do they actually get each?’
‘Ah well that’s a very good question,’ Ant replied. ‘And we’ve got the exact amount they get.’
Holding up two tiny brown packages, Ant continued: ‘This is the rice and this is the beans that they get. This is per person, per day. That’s it. So if they don’t do well in the trials then this is all they get.’
‘So let’s open the bags,’ Dec said as the pair began to unpack the rice and beans. ‘So they really do rely on what they win because this is….’
‘What have you got?’ Ant asked, as Dec revealed he had th rice before pouring it out into a brown cardboard box. Ant did the same and the pair showed the small quanтιтy of rice and beans to the camera.
Ant added: ‘Not a lot is it? How rank does that look? Look at that man, imagine… no wonder they’re picking them out the river the other day when they dropped them into the stream.’
Fans of the show were alarmed by the small amount of food, as they took to X, formerly Twitter, to say: ‘Wow. I presumed they got that per meal, rather than per day.
‘I wasn’t expecting it being not that much,’; ‘That’s their evening meal. What do they do for breakfast and lunch ???’;

‘Is there a duty of care that they arnt getting their 5 a day of fruit or veg?’; ‘Thats actually insane, i cant imagine how hungry they were yesterday,’;
‘Wow my little chihuahuas would eat more than that per day,’; ‘I’d be ᴅᴇᴀᴅ in a day if that’s all I was given, I get cranky with no food in a day,’;
‘That’s ridiculous, they should get that per meal. A child would starve on that.’
