REVEREND RICHARD COLES
Alan Halsall has given his thoughts on each other celebrities he lived with in the jungle, revealing who he shared a ‘really, really close relationship’ with and who he acted as a ‘big brother’ to in camp.
The Coronation Street star, 42, was one of the latest start to be sent home alongside GK Barry in a shocking double eviction on Friday’s instalment, ahead of Oti Mabuse’s eviction on Saturday.
Only Reverend Richard, Danny Jones and Coleen Rooney are left to battle it out to be crowed King or Queen of the Jungle on Sunday night’s final.
And giving his thoughts on the three finalists to The Sun, Alan praised them as being ‘genuine’, with a ‘wicked humour’ and ‘just brilliant’.
The actor first praised Coleen for her strength and authenticity, saying he felt a kinship with the WAG because of their shared Northern roots.
He said: ‘Coleen is just a very, very genuine person. You can tell she’s a great mum. She’s got steel right through her. She’s got a humour about her, very Northern traditional values and morals, very similar to my own. She can be quite… I wouldn’t say shy, just she can be quite reserved until she knows it’s her time.’

While Alan gushed about his admiration for Danny, saying he would love to get a drink with the McFly star ‘every day of the week’.
He said: ‘Danny was just brilliant. Danny’s got like all those talents. Like, you know, for someone like me, I’m looking at him thinking, “Typical. He’s good looking, he’s a rock star, he plays the guitar, he sings amazing, he writes songs, he’s funny”.
‘He’s the guy that you just want to go for a pint with every day. I could go for a beer with Danny every single day of the week and I would be happy, smiling, and I’d have a great night.’
Moving to the rest of the camp, Alan described Strictly’s Oti Mabuse as ‘smiles for days, pᴀssion, love, just enthusiasm.’
While he called Loose Women’s Jane Moore ‘a super-hard worker’ and praised boxer Barry McGuigan as ‘brilliant’.
Giving his thoughts on singer Tulisa, Alan recalled how they had formed a ‘really, really close relationship’ after being camp leaders together at the start, describing how they shared lots of ‘personal’ one-on-one chats in the Leaders’ Lodge.
He described his relationship with Love Island star Maura Higgins as ‘a big brother type thing’ as he described how they loved to make joking snipes at each other and praised her ‘fantastic sense of humour’.

While he said he bonded with podcaster GK over their shared sense of humour, saying the ‘got on so well’ from the start because ‘where nobody should go, GK goes’.
And giving his verdict on Dean McCullough, Alan said: ‘The only word I can use for Dean is energy. When he was in camp, he was up singing in the morning, dancing in the morning
“He was like, “BANG!” He was like a battery. He charged everybody up. His energy and his enthusiasm for everything… when Dean left the camp, you could feel that, because his energy was so big.’
His remarks on Dean’s huge energy come after Alan sparked speculation of a feud, when he accused the Radio DJ of ‘performing on camera’.
After being eliminated, Alan and GK joined hosts Ant and Dec on the ITV2 spin-off show Unpacked, where they were quick to spill the beans about their time on the reality show.
I’m A Celeb winner and host Sam Thompson took the opportunity to ask Alan if there were any ‘performers’ in the camp.
Hinting to a feud, Alan immediately replied: ‘Dean! He’s got a story written all over his face. It’s ridiculous!’

The bold statement did not come as a surprise for many fans, as the soap star memorably clashed with Dean during their time inside the jungle.
Tensioned boiled between them last week over camp chores, with viewers branding Dean’s extreme reaction as a little ‘harsh’.
He had become annoyed with Alan, after the Corrie actor woke him from his nap to help Jane with their ᴀssigned chore of collecting wood.
Alan asked Dean: ‘You don’t fancy it? No?’, before traipsing off to help Jane himself after she declared: ‘I can’t do it on my own’.
Dean then got up and raced down to confront Alan, saying: ‘You can go back now’, as the Corrie star explained: ‘I was trying to wake you up as soft as I could.’
But a furious Dean fumed at him: ‘Listen to me. If you’re gonna wake me up, you need to give me a minute, alright?
‘It takes a couple of minutes for my contact lenses to get back working again, alright, so you don’t need to turn around to me and say “Do you not fancy it, Ok?” And then turn around and walk away.’
As Alan tried to defend himself, Dean repeatedly talked over him, before the actor got out ‘I’ve listened to you, Jane was halfway down here, that’s why I went’, however the heated exchange only continued.

On Thursday, Dean addressed the tense spat, claiming he has ‘no regrets’ over it and insisting the conversation ‘was really not that deep’ and only ‘looked harsher on TV’.
Responding to a fan in an Instagram Q&A, who asked: ‘Do you regret having a go at Alan? It was a bit harsh?’ Dean replied: ‘I don’t regret the situation with Alan at all, because that is life.’
He went on: ‘You know, if you’re upset with someone, tell them, and let them respond, hear each other out, apologise, and move on.
‘Like, it’s really, really not that deep. Alan and I got on so well. We were very very close in there.
‘It was just banter, day in, day out, so it felt quite normal for me to be like “you’ve upset me” because that’s what I would expect him to do to me.
‘And there was plenty of situations like that in there where people were honest about how they felt and we moved on. There was no drama, there was no agg.
‘It probably looks harsher on TV, but in real life it was like, it was over in a split second, and to me, that’s just life.’
Dean became the second star to be kicked out of the 2024 jungle, was voted for a staggering seven trials and used the break free words, ‘I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here’ more than once.
