Brad Pitt got into character as he filmed scenes for his upcoming F1 movie at Abu Dhabi Grand Prix on Thursday.

The actor, 60, who plays Sonny Hayes in the project, wore an unzipped white racing suit as he arrived at Yas Marina Circuit during previews.

He topped his outfit off with a highneck top layered underneath, a pair of lace-up boots and later accessorised with aviator sunglᴀsses.

Joining him at the track were F1 drivers Lewis Hamilton, 39, and George Russell, 26, who he chatted to before getting to work.

Brad was later seen posing for pH๏τos with the Ferrari team before filming a scene in a helmet and gloves.

The anticipated feature is directed by Joseph Kosinski – and is set to premiere in theatres next year in June 2025.

Production for F1 is in full swing and last month in October, Brad was spotted at the Mexican Grand Prix in Mexico City to film additional scenes.

Two weeks ago onlookers at the Las Vegas Grand Prix were shocked and concerned after A-List actor Brad ‘fainted’ – but all was not as it seemed.

Ahead of the highly-anticipated on-track showdown in Sin City, the star was seen collapsing to the ground as he ‘fainted’ on the grid.

He wobbled on his feet several times before crashing down on to a padded mat held by a crew member.

However, fans needn’t worry about the Hollywood superstar as the stunt was all for his upcoming Formula One-based film.

Racegoers were treated to a teaser of the movie as Brad filmed a scene in front of a real F1 backdrop.

APX GP, the fictional race team of Brad’s character Sonny, even released a mock statement, sparking interest in the upcoming release.

‘During Qualifying, Sonny sustained a significant impact requiring immediate medical evaluation,’ the statement read.

They added: ‘Incidents of this magnitude are always taken seriously and Sonny’s health remains our top priority.

‘While Sonny is otherwise stable, he will not participate in tomorrow’s race as he focuses on recovery.

‘The entire team stands behind him and we’ll provide updates when available. Joshua will race solo tomorrow, carrying the team forward.’

Last year, both Pitt and his castmate, Damson Idris, were also seen shooting for the project while at the 2023 British Grand Prix.

‘His friend, played by Javier Bardem, is a team owner. They’re a last-placed owner, 21, 22 on the grid.’

Pitt continued, ‘They’ve never scored a point. They have a young phenom played by Damson Idris. He brings me in as a kind of Hail Mary, and high jinks ensue.’

He also praised director, Joseph Kosinski – who is known for stepping behind the camera on other films including Top Gun: Maverick.

Regarding the filmmaker’s use of cameras on set, Brad stated, ‘Tell you what’s amazing about it.’

‘You’ll see the cameras mounted all over the car. You’ve never seen speed, you’ve never seen the G-forces like this. It’s really amazing.’

Along with taking a lead role in the movie, Brad is also one of the producers on the project, as well as Formula One star Lewis Hamilton.

While attending the Formula 1 Grand Prix in Las Vegas late last year in November, producer Jerry Bruckheimer opened up about the movie.

Back in July 2023, production for the movie notably came to a halt due to the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes.

However, production resumed earlier this year and Jerry revealed to Entertainment Tonight that Pitt does the driving on his own when filming scenes.

‘He does it all himself. He’s an amazing athlete, the drivers are amazed at how good he is.’ The producer also stated that the movie will focus on F1 races, and expressed, ‘It’s all about the drama and the characters.’

‘It’s a great character study, the characters, drivers, the people around them who run those teams, the managers of the teams.’

And earlier this month, Bruckheimer told ᴅᴇᴀᴅline that the actor will also go on a ‘world tour’ to promote F1 before its release.

‘Brad is really invested in this movie. He doesn’t like to do press, but I think we’ll take him on a world tour where he’ll be glad to show his efforts in driving and acting in this movie.’

Pitt’s latest outing on Tuesday comes after ex-wife, Angelina Jolie, and his youngest son Knox, 16, attended the Governors Awards over the weekend on Sunday in Hollywood.

The former couple share Knox, his twin Vivienne, 16, Maddox, 22, Pax, 20, Zahara, 19, and Shiloh, 17.

Brad – who is amidst an ongoing divorce battle with Jolie – found it ‘suspicious’ that Knox made a rare public appearance with his mother on the red carpet.

A source told DailyMail.com, ‘Brad only gets to see his children when they walk on the carpet with their mom and the timing of this could not be any more suspicious considering it was just decided that he and Angie are headed to trial.’

‘She is trying to get under his skin after his recent win and using Knox to do so is odd. Knox wants nothing to do with Hollywood and has no communication with Brad.’

The insider added, ‘Of course, it bothers him that Angelina has turned them against him.’

Jolie ‘did this while they were all young and they didn’t even get a chance to make up their minds about him. He believes that, in time, his children will come back into his life.’

However, a separate source stated, ‘Knox chose to attend the awards with his mom, and they had a nice mother-son evening. Their decision to attend together did not have anything to do with Brad.’
