Dean McCullough has spilled all on his time in the jungle after he became the second contestant to be eliminated on Sunday night.
The radio DJ, 32, was voted to take part in a staggering seven trials during his time in camp and has now revealed he was aware host Ant McPartlin was annoyed at him during the trials.
During one challenge in particular Ant seemed visibly irritated at Dean’s inability to complete the trial with him later venting his frustrations during an episode of the show’s spin off I’m A Celebrity Unpacked.
And speaking to The Mirror, Dean confessed he sensed Ant’s irritation and then became motivated to earn the presenter’s respect and make him proud.
He admitted: ‘I knew Ant was being grumpy but I put it down to the weather. I thought, “I know what’s happened here? It’s raining and you can’t play golf, so you’re taking it out on us, right?” It was like being told off by a big brother.’
The star explained: ‘It actually became a thing where I wasn’t just winning stars for camp to feed them all. It was that I wanted to become friends with Ant McPartlin and make him proud of me.’

And it seemed to have worked as Dean revealed eventually when he began winning more stars the presenter was shaking his hand and congratulating him.
Meanwhile Dean also admitted that he loves the fact former I’m A Celeb alumni Rebekah Vardy has been bad-mouthing her in her column for The Sun.
Last week the WAG, 42, revealed she wanted Dean to be the first campmate voted out this years series and admitted she would ‘definitely’ vote Dean out herself and doesn’t understand why none of other celebrities have called him out on his behaviour.
Speaking in her vlog she said: ‘Dean is lazy, he’s moody. He really needs to be put in his place. I don’t know why someone doesn’t call him out on his dramatics and his atтιтude towards other people. I don’t know, maybe they think it’s OK.’
However Dean hasn’t been offended by her opinions after he became pals with her arch nemesis Coleen Rooney inside the camp.
He joked: ‘I love the fact she is talking about me, I am Team Coleen all the way.’
On Monday Dean spoke out on his ‘feud’ with Ant after he revealed he got a ‘proper telling off’ after a BushTucker Trial.
Despite Dean’s nervous demeanor and continuous screams, Ant showed little sympathy after one of his trials where he dipped out early on, opting instead to give him a bit of ‘tough love’.

During his first interview since leaving the camp, Dean addressed his feud with GMB’s Susanna Reid and Ed Balls.
He told the hosts: ‘When Ant was telling me off for saying “I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here,” I felt it was a proper telling off. I feel like he meant it.
‘So I did what I was told and I wanted to to win him back around, which I think I did in the end.’
Susanna prompted: ‘You did, that was interesting wasn’t it, he was a bit angsty with you, wasn’t he?’
Dean replied: ‘Yeah, I believe he was.
‘But it worked. It meant that I eventually got 10 stars home for camp and I got a handshake.’
Susanna added: ‘It was a bit of tough love from Ant McPartlin there.’
Previously Ant vented his frustrations about Dean’s behaviour in the trial’s during I’m A Celebrity Unpacked.
As host Joel Dommett began: ‘Let’s talk briefly about today’s trial,’ Ant interjected with: ‘Oh god.’
Letting his feelings be known he explained: ‘I got quite annoyed at one point because I am a bit like if you can’t do it you can’t do it, but just get on with it. Just try it, try it.
‘If it is physically impossible or you find it physically hard that’s fine but at least try. There was a lot of not trying for quite a few minutes until they started to try and then they ran out of time.’
Sam Thompson then agreed as he added: ‘What you are saying as well is you are standing screaming at nothing at this point in time, like you are just getting rained on.’
Ant agreed: ‘Yeah you are screaming at water.’
