Researcher Gerry Cannon – co-author of the book “Revealing the secrets of the Giza plateau and the second Sphinx ” discovered an unexplored mound on the Giza plateau, suspected of burying another Sphinx .
The Dream Stela is placed between the two front legs of the Sphinx with two lions on top.
Apparently, no one except Mr. Gerry Cannon noticed that the sphinx’s right hand is characterized as feminine and the left hand as masculine. There are many other examples of ancient Egyptian art depicting male and female sphinxes.
This is especially strange because the lion in the Dream Stela is also among the hieroglyphs representing Aker and Khephre – two lions that represent yesterday and today and are both considered male.
The Egyptians believed that after sunset the sun pᴀssed through a tunnel inside the Earth and dawn came when the sun rose in the morning after emerging from the other end of the tunnel.
Aker as two lions guard both gates of the tunnel. Therefore, there are often pair of lion statues at the gates of palaces and tombs to protect against evil spirits, just like the Chinese Foo dog guards temples and palaces.
Perhaps the lion by the Dream Stela is guarding the entrance inside the Sphinx that leads down to the vast underground temple and tunnel. We only have to look at the Akerw hieroglyph to understand the lion by the Dream Stela.
For centuries, people have speculated that there was a female Sphinx. Sketches from the 16th century show such a statue.
It may have nothing to do with the lion on the Dream Stela, but the lion-headed goddess Sekhmet was placed on Mount Giza.
Gerry Cannon found other ancient Egyptian art depicting sphinxes as male and female lions.
In the ancient Egyptian belief system, there were two Lion Mountains. Their significance is explained in a new book by Gerry Cannon. He is convinced that the second Sphinx will be found.
The Sphinx was carved from natural rock in ancient times, as the erosion and striations on its body could only have been caused by wear from long-term exposure to tropical rain or when the sea rose and flooded the Giza plateau.
Another reason why the Sphinx is more eroded than the pyramids is because it is located about 60m lower than the pyramids so the water stays there longer.
Mr. Gerry Cannon said: whoever carved the Sphinx must have seen the giant stone to calculate its size.
So there cannot be any sand cover. It may have been exposed at a time when the Giza plateau climate was temperate or tropical.
The Sphinx was there thousands of years before the ancient Egyptians lived there. It was probably carved before the last Ice Age or Great Flood, which may have occurred when the ice melted.
That would have been 12,500 years ago. However, Egyptologists have had a hard time trying to put such a time frame together. All the clues about the second Sphinx are just theories.
