REVEREND RICHARD COLES
I’m A Celeb viewers were left with the same complaint after spotting the show had scrapped an iconic segment on Friday.
Due to bosses scrapping the phone voting system in favour of the app, hosts Ant and Dec no longer needed to say their famous catchphrase ‘to vote for a mobile, call the SHORT NUMBER!’ which they would scream into the camera.
MailOnline previously revealed the change, which saw he celebrity’s voting numbers dropped from the back of their camp t-shirts for the first time.
Taking to X fans said: ‘No more “to from a mobile call the SHORT NUMBER”‘: ‘No long number and short number this year’ alongside a heartbroken emoji.

A show source told MailOnline of the change: ‘Over the years the number of people voting by phone has declined and it’s become a very small proportion of votes cast.’
The insider went on: ‘To simplify the message to our viewers, we have chosen to only have free online voting this year via the app.’
It comes after ITV’s other shows Dancing on Ice and Britain’s Got Talent also ditched the phone voting system – which could upset older viewers who do own a mobile phone.
Elsewhere in the episode Oti Mabuse and Melvin Odoom bagged the series’ first full house of 12 stars during Bushtucker Trial, Tanks of Terror.
After hosts Ant and Dec revealed campmates could now decide amongst themsleves who would take on the task, the ex Strictly star, 34, volunteered alongside Barry McGuigan, 63.
However the boxer graciously swapped places with DJ, 44, who had yet undertaken a trail and as the pair left for the clearing joked he was ‘off to bed for a nap’.
Oti and Melvin were placed inside giant tanks had were forced to work together to free stars for meals for camp, as huge spiders crawled across their faces.
The tanks of water were gradually filled with the likes of mud crabs, eels, crocodiles and water dragons, while their head bubbles were filled with spiders and snakes.

They seemingly had very different tactics to endure the critics and while Melvin closed his eyes and hummed, Oti squealed in horror, never the less the pair managed to win 12 stars for camp with just 5 seconds to go before the klaxon sounded.

Finally having her head bubble removed Oti was able to open her mouth and scream, while a delighted Melvin gave Geordie duo Ant and Dec a high five.
Full of praise, Ant said: ‘You can now call yourselves the new king and queen of the Bushtucker Trial!’
Melvin’s eventful trial comes after he was left fuming once again after Dean McCullough abandoned him to complete the chores alone.
The presenter 44, and the Irish DJ, 32, are on water collection duties for the camp this week but Melvin was left furious once again after his campmate disappeared.
And Dean not pulling his weight has not gone unnoticed by the rest of the camp.
After winning jungle money in the gag-inducing Rank Bank bushtucker trial on Thursday, the campmates were given ‘jungle cash cards’ to access basic amenities, like the toilet, shower, pool and bath.

But with each one costing $10 a pop, the celebs have started to become savvy in how to save their hard-earned cash.
Loose Woman star, Jane Moore, 62, admitted to Richard Coles, also 62 that rather than paying to use the dunny she has resorted to drastic measures.
She said: ‘I’ve taken to spitting my toothpaste in the garbage bag so I don’t have to go and pay $10!’
TikTok star GK Barry, 25, took to washing her armpits in the sink rather than showering as she joked: ‘I’m trying to save on everything so I can get a bottle of prosecco with a straw. That’s what I’m craving at the minute.’
