Jesse Tyler Ferguson revealed that he rushed one of his sons to the hospital on Thanksgiving. 

On Thursday, the Modern Family actor, 49, took to Instagram to post a pH๏τo of himself sitting in a hospital bed with one of his sons who lay ill on his chest. The father-son duo were surrounded by medical equipment and covered by a blanket. 

He did not specify if it was son Beckett Mercer, 4, or Sullivan ‘Sully’ Louis, 2 — who he shares with husband Justin Mikita — that needed emergency medical attention. Luckily, the youngster is ‘fine’ now and out of the New York City hospital. 

The star also explained that his Modern Family costar Julie Bowen also made a trip to the medical center for her own son to receive care. 

‘I have received a lot of parenting wisdom from @itsjuliebowen so seeing I wasn’t the only one with a kid in the ER on Thanksgiving was comforting. (He’s also fine.),’ he penned in the caption.

‘Thank you to the kind folks at Lennox Health. NYC really DOES have the best healthcare.’

In her own post, Bowen shared an impressive snap of one of her teenage sons standing in the fog as the word ‘Emergency’ glowed in a fluorescent red light.  

‘It’s not a holiday without a trip to the ER. (He’s fine, btw) HAPPY THANKSGIVING,’ she wrote below the snap.

The actress shares Oliver, 17, John 15, and Gustav, 15, with her ex-husband Scott Phillips. 

Ferguson’s post earned a like from his costar Sofia Vergara who wrote ‘Oh no’ in the comments section. 

And fans rushed to the comments to pen their support for the doting father and express their well wishes for his youngster, wishing him a speedy recovery from the undisclosed illness.  

‘Sending love this difficult week. Hope your son has a speedy recovery ❤️‍,’ one wrote. 

Another chimed in, ‘Oh my goodness! This is so much! So glad he is ok. Hope you are too. ❤️❤️❤️❤️.’

On Black Friday, the Missoula, Montana native also took to his Instagram Story to share a pH๏τo of his four-year-old dressed in a suit while peering our of a window. 

‘Thankful for friends who are helping us build memories for our kids,’ he penned above the snap.

Ferguson and Mikita welcomed both of their sons via surrogacy — Beckett Mercer was born in July 2020 and Sullivan Louis in November 2022.

Back in April, the actor told People: ‘We had a wonderful surrogate who carried both Beckett and Sullivan. We are so grateful for her and her family. We became friends with her and her husband.’

The pair previously revealed that they were raising their sons as feminists.

Ferguson recalled: ‘This pH๏τo of me taking my first steps away from my mom’s opened arms is one of my favorite pictures. In recent days I helped my mom take some of her last steps. We said goodbye to her on Tuesday November 25.

‘Today I give thanks that I was able to be with her in her final moments on this earth. You only get one mom and I’m glad she was mine. My arms will always be open for you. RIP Mom.’
