Strictly Come Dancing fans claim one couple has an ‘unfair advantage’ ahead of Musicals Week

Strictly Come Dancing fans are furious and have claimed that one couple has an unfair advantage ahead of Saturday’s live show.

The show has been hit with more fixing claims after it was revealed that Sarah Hadland would be performing to Popular from the hit musical Wicked.

And while fans of the production have been flocking to cinemas to watch the new film starring Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo, not all Strictly fans were happy about the nod to the famous musical.

Viewers believe that the Miranda star, 53, has an unfair advantage because their song is more relevant than others.

Writing in an online forum, viewers complained that the show was fixing the results by allowing Sarah and her partner Vito Coppola to dance to the well-known song., according to The Sun.

One person wrote: ‘Seems particularly unfair that one person gets a dance everyone loves to a song that is extremely in the public eye at the moment, while someone else gets a dance the public can never be bothered with to a musical that is pretty unknown.’

While another added: ‘Top of the leader board will likely be Sarah.’

Others said: ‘Sarah and Vito get a Charleston and a tie in to Wicked – blimey! Popular indeed.’

Another viewers said their favourite dancer is being purposefully pushed out of the compeтιтion.

They commented: ‘The BBC are so obvious with who they want out. I mean, this is practically a ‘tell me you want Montell out without actually telling me’ situation.

And other chimed in, writing: ‘It’s ludicrous to give a rumba on Musicals week to a contestant who’s been in the bottom three times?

‘I see you Strictly producers, I see you. Montell deserves better! I would’ve loved to have seen a Charleston from team Jojo this week!

‘They sтιтched up Shayne and now they’re sтιтching up Montell.

‘The difference though is that Montell is too good to leave this early. She should be a finalist! I’m fuming!’

‘THE BEST RUMBA IVE EVER SEEN ON #Strictly #StrictlyComeDancing!’; ‘Sarah had me captivated from start to finish. Those Rumba walks gave me chills. A brilliant hip action and great chemistry as well. That was INCREDIBLE!’; ‘Sarah & Vito for the win!!’;

‘Sarah could win this she’s actually killing it. Hero’; ‘Sarah to win’; ‘I give Sarah and Vito a 10! That was INSANE! I’m being serious; this was THE best dance of the series so far, not just the best Rumba of the series. Professional level!’

Chris and his Strictly partner Dianne Buswell trade at just 1/5 – an implied probability of 83 per cent – to win the programme, having held favouritism since the second week.

Sarah is deemed the most likely threat to Chris’s march to glory but is still well adrift in the betting at 9/2, with Tasha Ghouri rounding off the top three at 10/1.

Spokesperson for William Hill, Lee Phelps, said: ‘There’s no stopping Chris McCausland in the Strictly outright market and the comedian seems to already have one hand on the Glitterball Trophy.

‘Despite there being four weeks left, Chris trades at just 1/5 to win this year’s series, giving him serious breathing space in the betting ahead of Sarah Hadland (9/2) and Tasha Ghouri (10/1).’
