Ben Affleck will be celebrating his first Thanksgiving since his split from Jennifer Lopez, and it looks like family will be at the heart of his holiday plans. 

The 52-year-old actor, currently filming his Netflix crime thriller RIP alongside longtime friend Matt Damon, is taking a break from the set to spend quality time with his children, a source revealed to People on Wednesday.

‘He’s very happy with life. He enjoys working. He’ll spend Thanksgiving with his kids,’ the insider shared, offering a glimpse into Affleck’s mindset as he embraces the holiday season.

Ben shares his three kids—Violet, 18, Seraphina, 15, and Samuel, 11—with ex-wife Jennifer Garner, who treated the children to a lunch date just a few days ago. 

The family lives in the affluent Brentwood neighborhood of Los Angeles, making it easy for Ben to be close to his kids while filming in the city.

Meanwhile, J.Lo was spotted in Los Angeles on Wednesday with a tense expression, though it remains unclear how she’ll be spending her Thanksgiving this year.

On Tuesday, Ben showed off his muscular frame along with a beaming grin as he joined Damon, 54, on the set for a high-octane scene.

Affleck sported a тιԍнт gray shirt and jeans paired with a police badge as he chatted with his longtime pal, who wore a police jacket.

The dynamic duo were surrounded by cast and crew as they filmed outside a house. 

RIP follows a group of Miami cops who discover a stash of millions in cash, leading to friction as outsiders learn about the huge seizure, making them question who they can rely on. 

Affleck and Damon are producing via their Artists Equity production company that the actors launched in November 2022. 

During Garner’s fun family date, she was spotted holding a lighthearted conversation with Fin while standing outside of the theater, and later made her way down an escalator with her son Samuel close behind. 

Jen and Ben’s eldest child, Violet, is currently attending Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut after beginning her freshman year in August. 

Jennifer and Ben notably tied the knot in 2005, but their divorce was finalized in 2018 after 13 years of marriage.

In 2022, Affleck married Jennifer Lopez – whom he previously dated in the early 2000s before their first split. 

However, earlier this year in August, the On The Floor songstress filed for divorce from the Oscar winner on their second wedding anniversary. 

Last week, sources informed DailyMail.com that Garner ‘no longer wishes’ to be in contact with Lopez following the end of her marriage to Affleck. 

Insiders previously told DailyMail.com that she had felt like a ‘pawn’ after acting as Ben and Jennifer’s ‘marriage counselor’ amid the breakdown of the former couple’s two-year marriage. 

‘Jen no longer wishes to have communication with JLo unless it is do with the kids,’ the source recently stated. 

‘Her friends feel she shouldn’t have allowed herself to get so involved in helping JLo to fix her marriage to Ben.’ 

The insider added, ‘Especially considering Jen felt pitted against JLo at times during their own marriage. Jen is too nice and truly wanted to help, so she tried.’ 

Violet was recently seen posing for a selfie with Lopez’s sister, Lynda, who paid her a visit at Yale – which had left both Garner and Affleck ‘confused.’ 

While her Thanksgiving plans remain unclear, it’s likely that both Jennifer and Ben are in Los Angeles for the holiday; seen in January in Beverly Hills 

The ᴅᴇᴀᴅpool & Wolverine actress found the pH๏τo ‘odd,’ but will not say anything negative about the singer or her sister. 

‘JLo getting close to Violet felt odd to Jen and then Lynda popping up at Violet’s school. Jen’s loyalty is to the father of her kids – Ben – and their children. Because they love JLo.’ 

The insider added, ‘But Jen would never badmouth her or speak negatively about her. Everyone knows that if JLo wanted to spend time with her children aside from Violet, it would have to go through Jen.

Garner recently sparked engagement rumors with her boyfriend, John Miller, late last month in October. 

While driving in Los Angeles, the actress could be seen wearing a gold band with a turquoise stone on her ring finger.
