Police are searching for the rapper Lil Xan after he was seen on video apparently punching and kicking a man last week.
The 28-year-old rapper had just wrapped up a show in Boston at the Royale nightclub when things went south while he was stopping to chat with audience members from the stage in the early morning hours of Saturday, according to TMZ.
Video shows Lil Xan (real name: Nicholas Diego Leanos) reaching down and apparently swinging a microphone at a man standing at the front of the stage, before he kicks the same man in the head.
DailyMail.com has reached out to Lil Xan’s representative for comment.
It’s unclear what led to the violent outburst, but it’s not the first for the SoundCloud rapper, who previously pointed a gun at a man and called him the N-word at a gas station during a dispute about the late rapper Tupac Shakur.
Other audiences members looked shocked by Lil Xan’s actions, as they can be seen smiling and laughing up at him just seconds before he reaches down to hit the man.

The man, who is holding a beer in the video, looks similarly shocked after the first blow.
He stumbles to the side and then falls down below the edge of the stage out of view.

The man struggles to his feet, and he’s still looking down and away from the stage when the rapper kicks him in the head.
He hobbles to the side away from the rapper but manages to stay on his feet before walking away from the stage through the crowd.
Lil Xan appears to be shouting at him angrily, though his words aren’t audible in the video, as music in the club and shocked screams from other audience members drown it out.
Other members of the crowd gesticulate at him as if trying to calm him down, while others look visibly outraged.
Another man the steps out on stage and gently ushers Lil Xan off stage once he finishes shouting.
One man in a black shirt appears to be arguing with the rapper in the final moments of the video, and just after walking away, Lil Xan turns back around toward the man and yells, ‘Hey, f*** you,’ though the video cuts off at that point.

The angle of the video makes it difficult to see what kind of confrontation happened between the injured man in the audience and the rapper.
However, another video taken from another angle in the club reportedly shows the man who was kicked flipping his middle finger at Lil Xan, according to TMZ.
Sources told the publication that security at the club tried to apprehend the rapper, but he cut a quick exit before they could nab him.
Police were reportedly called about the apparent ᴀssault around 1:30 a.m. on Saturday morning, according to law enforcement sources.
They said the call described the incident as a case of ᴀssault and battery.
According to the sources, a person who witnessed the attack described it as being unprovoked.
The man who was hit and kicked by Lil Xan reportedly turned down any medical attention while still at the club.
The event seems to have been even more serious than the video indicates, as police were told that the performer ᴀssaulted two other people as he tried to leave the venue.
Police are reportedly investigating the altercation at the club and are searching for Lil Xan.
The rapper, who hails from Redlands, California, began to gain popular in the mid-2010s after establishing himself with songs posted to YouTube and SoundCloud.
Xan has previously spoken about his past struggles with addiction to opiates and benzodiazepines — including his namesake, Xanax — though he was able to kick the drugs and has urged his fans to steer clear of the substances.
In 2019, he was caught on video brandishing a handgun at a man at a gas station and calling him the N-word.
He had allegedly been confronted over an earlier video in which he confessed to find Tupac Shakur’s music ‘boring,’ and having the sentiment critiqued apparently set off the dangerous confrontation.
The rapper later claimed that he pulled the gun in ‘self-defense,’ and the man he pointed it at later filed a complaint with police.
It’s unclear what happened with the resulting police investigation, but the man subsequently sued Lil Xan for the confrontation.
In October, the man was awarded nearly $28,000 by a judge in a default judgement after the rapper never responded to the lawsuit, according to TMZ.
Lil Xan, who previously dated Noah Cyrus, was hospitalized in 2018 for eating ‘too many [Flamin’] H๏τ Cheetos.’
