A Bake Off contestant destroyed her hanging showstopper cake just inches from the judging table in a devastating fail.
In the Belgian version of the baking show, тιтled Bake Off Vlaanderen (Bake Off Flanders), an episode from the third series saw Jaline build a stunning white cake suspended on a pole.
In a clip that has recently resurafced online, she took the cake over to judges Regula Ysewijn and Herman Van Dender.
However, the stunning creation suddenly collapsed on the floor before they even got to taste it.
While Jaline and the judges broke into hysterics, it didn’t take long before realisation set in and there were emotional hugs and tears all round.
A very similar incident happened on the British version on Tuesday night which saw runner up Dylan Bachelet crumble during the show’s grand finale.
Dylan, 20, was lauded by the judges, Paul Hollywood and Prue Leith, throughout the series for his innovative flavours and flawless presentation.

However, the pressure of the final proved too much for the former retail ᴀssistant, who delivered less than impressive scones and came in last place in the technical.
Fans admitted they were watching the last episode from behind their hands as Dylan and the other finalists approached the final showstopper.
But it wasn’t meant to be for Dylan, as he failed to impress with his ‘gravity defying’ floating cake inspired by the Italian town of Murano, as he delivered a ‘lumpy’ and ‘concertinaed’ sponge.
Dylan finished as a runner up on the show after Welsh mother of three Georgie Grᴀsso was crowned the winner of the 15th series.
Stressed viewers watched as Dylan fell to pieces during the final, where he competed against winner Georgie and fellow runner up Christiaan de Vries.
Following the finale, Bake Off shared Dylan’s farewell letter on X. ‘Bake Off…What an insane journey, every aspect was great,’ he began. ‘The bakers, the talent, the production team all made me feel at home, and comfortable. They all made this experience brilliant!
‘I miss the time in the tent so much now, I feel very lucky to have been a part of GBBO 24, a great year. I’m sad it’s over. That being said, I’m excited for the future, and I can’t wait for Christmas! Hopefully creating lots of new memories with everyone on the show!’
During the final moments of the show, paediatric nurse from Carmarthenshire, Georgie, beat fellow finalists Christiaan, 33, and Dylan.

Georgie looked in shock after her win and was quickly embraced by her husband and children.
She said: ‘I cannot believe I’ve won it. It means everything, it’s just incredible. I can’t believe I’ve won The Great British Bake Off. I’ve always been so self-doubtful.
‘You make excuses and for once I just thought, no I’m going to go for it and put everything into it. I’ve proved to myself that I can do something.’
After her win, judge Prue said: ‘Georgie did what she does best, classic British baking beautifully done and won it, and rightfully too.’
During the show, the three finalists had to make sweet and savoury scones for the signature, afternoon tea for the technical and a three-tier hanging cake for their showstopper.
Georgie impressed the judges on all of her challenges but they were particularly blown away by her hanging cake which was inspired by ‘summer gardens’.
After tasting it, Prue said: ‘That is utterly delicious. It’s got so much filling,’ and also called it ‘soft and luxurious’.
Earlier in the show, Georgie promised Paul Hollywood she would roll down the hill outside the tent if she want and stayed true to her word.
Despite ten weeks of intense compeтιтion, the winner of The Great British Bake Off does not receive a cash prize.
They instead receive the more low key winnings of flowers and a cake stand which Georgie will take back to her farm in Carmarthenshire where she and her family live with ten chickens, five ducks, two dogs and a cat.
The Great British Bake Off is available to stream on Channel4.com.
