Coleen Rooney’s best friend Danielle Gibson revealed how the I’m A Celeb star’s Wagatha Christie skills have ‘worked wonders in the jungle’ in an interview with Lorraine on Wednesday.

The WAG, 38, got her impressive investigative skills back to work on the show as she uncovered what was really going on at Maura Higgins and Reverend Richard Coles’ Junkyard camp.

Fans were quick to compare Coleen’s detective skills to her infamous Wagatha Christie case, with some viewers joking she’s ‘better than MI6’.

And now, her pal has agreed: ‘Her detective skills have worked wonders in this jungle with the junkyard camp. You could see the penny drop when the clip goes onto her asking how they’re going to cook the fish. She’s always one step ahead of the game.’ 

When quizzed about Rebekah Vardy’s jungle commentary in The Sun, Danielle explained that Coleen is ‘bored’ of hearing about her trial with the fellow WAG.

She said: ‘She was catapulted into this world at 15, she was still at school and I really think that she will want to draw a line under the whole trial thing. I don’t want to give it any air time. I think she is bored of it, I think we need to just let it go.’

Danielle admitted that it was ‘really difficult’ to watch Coleen on the show at the start, as she was ‘really reserved’ due to being in the public eye for most of her life.

She explained: ‘I think watching her at the start was really difficult because she was really reserved because of being in the public eye from such a young age. 

‘I’m so pleased that we’re going to see the real Col after that time she was reserved.

‘She really does have a rat phobia. I know inside she was absolutely screaming in the back of that bus, She’s a real team player and she will do anything she can to get those stars.’

Danielle told Lorraine that the youngest two of Coleen’s four boys – Kai, 13, Klay, ten, Kit, seven, and six-year-old Cᴀss – whom shares with husband Wayne, 39, will be heading Down Under to see her when she leaves the show.

She gushed: ‘They absolutely are, I can’t wait for them to go over there. They’ve all been watching her every night. 

‘Their dad is a big superstar and I think it’s about time mum took that crown and they can see her for the real superhero that she is.

‘She is so organised I don’t know how she is living with no diary, her diary is her best friend. 

‘The world will probably think she has an entourage supporting her but she doesn’t – she does it all on her own.’

Her pal said: ‘Her detective skills have worked wonders in this jungle with the junkyard camp. She’s always one step ahead of the game.’

She also made sure to clarify that she has ‘no doubt about’ Wayne writing love poems for her, which Coleen disclosed in a recent episode.

It comes after fans were left shocked by Coleen on Tuesday’s episode as she took part in a challenge along with the rest of the camp.

The WAG was joined by all the contestants on the fright bus which saw the stars sat in various seats while hundred of creepy crawlies rained down on them.

And, amidst all the chaos including Maura Higgins declaring she’s ‘on the verge of a heart attack’ and Danny Jones and Melvin Odoom singing ‘I’ve got roaches in my pants’, Coleen stayed cool, clam and collected.

While the rest of the camp mates were screaming on the bus ride as they competed for stars to win luxury items, the wife of Wayne Rooney didn’t even flinch.

After a painstaking watch which included former boxer Barry McGuigan trying to calm everyone down, Marua, Jane Moore and Tulisa were the last to leave the bus and the N-Dubz star admitted she was disappointed she’s a screamer’.

But it wasn’t the insects or the screams that surprised fans of the show.

Instead it was Coleen’s atтιтude to the tasks which saw her remain very calm despite the trying circumstances.

Danielle told Lorraine that the youngest two of Coleen’s four boys – Kai, 13, Klay, ten, Kit, seven, and six-year-old Cᴀss, will be heading Down Under to see her when she leaves the show.

They wrote: ‘Coleen’s a proper trooper’; ‘Coleen Rooney is absolutely the coolest cucumber.’; ‘Coleen whilst everyone else is screaming their heads off’.

And while Coleen is impressing fans on the show, her two youngest sons are getting ready to see their brave mother.

The pair flew out to Australia with the I’m A Celebrity star’s parents on Tuesday, ready for an emotional reunion with their mum.

And whilst Coleen’s husband Wayne Rooney is staying home thanks to his job as a manager at Plymouth Argyle, the boys made sure they took a reminder of their dad with them.

Coleen’s youngest son Cᴀss, six, was carrying a cuddly kangaroo as well as a figure of Wayne in a football kit as he arrived at check-in.

The star’s parents have said they are ‘very excited’ to see their daughter in the I’m A Celebrity jungle as they flew out to Australia.

Colette and Tony McLoughlin arrived at Manchester Airport with their grandchildren Kit and Cᴀss, at 10am to catch an Emirates flight to Brisbane where they will greet their only daughter when she leaves the show.

And the WAG’s parents said they thought she might win the hit ITV1 show.

Her mother Colette said: ‘We are very proud of her. She is doing very well. We are all very excited to see her.’

Asked if she might win the jungle crown, smiling Colette, 61, who was dressed in a jungle-esque khaki two piece outfit, said: ‘She’s got a chance’.

Her father Tony added: ‘She’s doing pretty well, we are all very proud of how she’s doing.

‘She’s doing alright and is coming across really well. You never know she might win.

‘We’ve got a long flight now to see her.’
