Harry Hill left a contestant on The Wheel stunned after he said he hasn’t seen his wife for three years and last spotted her ‘flogging fruit at the side of the road’.
The comedian, 60, joins host Michael McIntyre in this week’s upcoming episode of the game show, which sees members of the public answer quiz questions in specific categories, with the help of celebrity experts.
As The Wheel spins, contestants hope they will land on the celebrity who has the right knowledge to help with their question.
One player who was faced with a question about soul music had the wheel land on Harry Hill, who unfortunately is not an expert on the topic.
However, the funny man’s dry sense of humour was on top form as he cracked jokes to alleviate any worries the contestant had.
As The Wheel landed on him, Harry said: ‘It’s not my natural music of choice. If my wife was here, she loves soul music.’

‘Can’t we get your wife in?’, the contestant quipped back, prompting giggles from the other celebrities.
To which the quick-witted comedian replied: ‘I haven’t seen her for about three years.
‘The last time I saw her she was selling cherries from a layby.’
Shock flashed across the players face before he and the rest of the room burst into laughter.
Laughing at his own joke, Harry addressed his wife through the TV screen and shouted: ‘Sorry darling!’
Harry married his artist wife Magda Archer, 60, in 1996 in Wandsworth, London.
The couple share three children together: Kitty Clover, 27, Winifred Millicent, 26, and Frederica Aster, 20.
Last week a contestant on The Wheel left Chris and Rosie Ramsey open-mouthed with a brutal swipe at their diets.
‘You’re looking for people who avoid fruit. Who are you going to shut down?’ Michael asked.
With little to no hesitation, Grace said: ‘I might shut down the Ramseys.’
Before she could give her reasoning, she was interrupted by ‘wow’s’ from Chris and Rosie as their jaws dropped.
Michael McIntyre chimed in: ‘Did you see their faces? Open-mouthed!’
Chris joked: ‘We just play Mario and avoid fruit!’
And Rosie asked: ‘Do we look malnourished to you?’
The pair were still chuckling as their light was switched to red and they were shut down.
The Wheel airs every Saturday on BBC One and is available to stream on iPlayer.
